Jawed Review at Concordia University, Montreal | Collegedunia

ConcordiaU through the eyes of a current graduate

Jawed
4.5 /10

ConcordiaU is the second best college in Montreal after Mcgill. Thats why i picked ConcordiaU although mcgill has a better engineering department but mcgill is very expensive. Also my A levels exam results were not that great I met concordia?s requirement so I decided to come here. Montreal is the best city fot student and thats another reason why i chose concordia

Exams :

I have always wanted to be a back end developer. Ielts score 8.5 . I have just 10 credits left. I had 3 As in my O levels and 1 A in A levels and I got in. The requirements are not that crazy so people can get in easily, never had to take SAT but for grad school you need Gre and Gmat, specifically Gmat a score of around 580

Placement :

There are job fairs attending them is important. They dont place you anywhere but in job fairs most companies place their booths and give you all the information you need to apply . They even answer all your questions about the hiring process and the company

Internship :

It does yes but I never had those jobs so cant comment. But my friends who worked at ISO as volunteers had a good experience. You start as a volunteer and then they hire you. Working hours are flexible.

Fees :

As an international student my tuition fees were really high, for 4 courses every semester I was paying 10k a semester. Scholarships are available for grad students . Some quebec scholarships are available too for locals. In grad school, in order to get scholarships you must enroll into a thesis based masters and get a professor on board to supervise you

Hostel :

Off campus cause its cheap. You can rent an apartment with your friends and stay there. Do grocery together, montreal is a cheap city. Getting an on campus residency is very difficult. The queue is huge and not everyone gets in
