Life in Concordia University

AG
5.5 /10

Well the ranking of the university was decent and it was the one that I got the offer from, I didn't get any offers from other universities.

Course Curriculum :

Experience was great and very competitive. You got to work on various technologies and some of the assignments given in the courses that I took was quite challenging as well. No, I didn't get any industrial or research exposure but you can if you want to, there's program available for that as well.

Exams :

My Scores: GRE 150 Verbal 159 Quant, 4.0 Writing, IETLS 7.5; Class minimum score IELTS 6.5

Placement :

Well we have a portal called CAPS where jobs are posted by the university itself. Apart from that help in relation to job hunting is not that good in the university. Basically, most of the things you have to do on your own. Research opportunities are available but for that you have to maintain a really good GPA.

Events :

Well the facilities are decent, its not a very big university per say. But yeah I got everything I needed from the university. Although I could say that the extra curricular activities could have been better for grad students.

Scholarship :

No

Faculty :

Faculty to student ratio is not bad. The faculty is decent, not all great but most of them are quite good. They are approachable no issues with that. I really liked my Computer Networks professor Mr Aiman Hanna, he is just brilliant in the ways he explain things.

Campus Life :

Overall experience has been great. But more so not because of the university but the country, city and the people. The time management skills you got to learn in order to work time to accommodate yourself and at the same time completing assignments preparation for exams, going out having fun.

Hostel :

No. We rented an apartment which was about 30 mins away from university either by bus or metro. We all had our private rooms there. But if you want to live closer to the university the apartments are more expensive and in order to keep the living expenses down you have to share room with one or two people.
