Capital is among a select group of universities that offers you a way to get your master?s in Music Education in as few as three summer semesters of intense coursework and hands-on workshops. Our graduate programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and the Organization of American Kod?ly Educators. You can choose from three areas of emphasis ??Jazz Pedagogy,?Instrumental?or one of two programs tracks offered through?Capital?s Kod?ly Institute. And regardless of which emphasis you choose, you can take the coursework you need to become a Kod?ly Certified Instructor upon graduation. Our distinctive summer semester programming allows you to put your graduate training to work in the fall ? in your own classes with your own students.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Submit official transcripts of undergraduate and all previous education completed
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent on a scale of 4.0
- Submit three professional recommendations
- Submit current resume
- Submit an audition for admission consideration
- Submit 1-2 page of summary about vision of your future and how the program will help you in it
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 61 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
