After you have completed Introductory Psychology (101), it is recommended that you take Statistics (268) and Experimental Psychology (269)?as soon as possible?to better equip you for your remaining course work, much of which requires 268 and 269.?

Early in your major, you may also wish to take some courses which have no requirements of only require Psyc 101. Courses with no pre-requisite include Developmental Psychology (Psyc 317), Social Psychology (Psyc 241), Cross Cultural Psychology (Psyc 235), and Neuroscience (Neur 241). Courses that only require Psyc 101 include Abnormal Psychology (Psyc 348) and Statistics (Psyc 268). ?

• If you intend to pursue graduate work in psychology, it is advised that you take more than the 36 required credits. You may wish to select those extra courses from a given?study track.
• If you are contemplating graduate work at the Ph.D. level, we also recommend some coursework in biology and computer applications.
• Personality is the senior capstone course and should not be taken until your senior year.

After you have taken 20 credits of Psychology coursework, it is a good time to select an advanced seminar, which is usually a Psyc 481 course. The different topics have a different end number (such as 481-1, or 481-2). ?
