Visa Process for International Students

Students who wish to pursue an education in the US should have an F1 or J1 student visa. An application shall be made at the earliest. This is how the procedure unfolds-

The visa application will have to be made at any consulate or embassy of the USA in the home country of a student.
Before going to make an application, students shall have to pay the SEVIS fee, which is $350 for F1 visa and $220 for J1 visa.
After filling the DS-160 form and paying the application fee students shall have to fill and submit the I-20 form, issued by the university after the visa application has been made.
An interview appointment shall be made as part of the process of visa acquisition.

I chose this school because it is a small, liberal arts school so I knew that I would be focused on as an individual. I also chose the school-based off of athletics. I run on the track team here so it was important to me that the team and training fit my needs.

Overview:

It is in the city and it also has a campus. This was very important to me when I came from Michigan. I loved that I would be able to access the opportunities from the city and also be somewhat close to home.

Scholarship:

I have a couple of scholarships but this school is too much money. I am in great debt. While they have many scholarships they tend to go to the overprivileged athletes.

Loyola - PR preference over advertising

Overview:

I wanted to be in Chicago and have a college that was community-driven. The campus is beautiful and all of my classes are taken in the heart of downtown which was a big selling point for me. I enjoyed the environment when I visited.
