At the completion of the Middle or Secondary Education Program (Initial License) or CAGS thecandidate will be able to:

Design, administer and practice high quality instruction and assessments in the middle/secondary academic classroom.
Demonstrate and promote the learning and growth of all secondary students through instructional practices that establish high expectations, safe classrooms, and cultural proficiency.
Create and apply effective partnerships with families, community members and organizations in promoting learning and growth of all students.

Academic Requirements:

Applicant must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
Official transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES accredited agency
Applicant should have completed prerequisite course in any one of the following: child psychology; developmental psychology; child development; early childhood
Applicant should have an initial teaching license
Prior teaching experience for minimum one year under the initial teaching license
Submit two letter of recommendation from your supervisor or academic professor
Submit personal statment
Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
