The quality of faculty at UPES has reportedly declined, with many experienced teachers leaving, resulting in a student-to-faculty ratio that is less favorable. The current faculty mainly consists of newly experienced staff who may face challenges in effectively teaching students. The course did not offer actual internships, but students had the opportunity to engage in social internships after their first year. These internships provided experience in a corporate environment but lacked specific career benefits. The course fee is approximately ₹70,000 per semester. UPES offers various scholarships, such as a 30% scholarship for single girl children and scholarships for students from Uttarakhand. The B.Sc. Mathematics Hons. program initially cost around ₹4.2 lakhs for three years, but it is now approximately ₹4 lakhs for two years, with the program duration extended to four years.
