New Delhi: UPES School of Computer Science has recently concluded its final placements for the B.Tech programme for the academic year 2021-22, where a student acquired a job worth INR 50 lakh from Microsoft.
Madhur Rakheja who pursued his BTech in computer science engineering with a specialisation in oil and gas informatics from the UPES School of Computer Science has bagged a lucrative job offer from Microsoft.

Being a son of a shopkeeper and a homemaker, Rakheja acquired the offer from Microsoft after rejecting offers from prestigious companies including Amazon, Cognizant and Optum.
Madhur is all prepared to join the Microsoft team in Bangalore with the goal of improving his software development skills and becoming better at it.
According to the latest reports, Madhur had a list of companies where he wished to get selected and Microsoft was one among them on that list.
He stated that he prepared himself for the selection process by reading about other people's interview experiences and learning the required skills. He added saying that it was a campus placement .
Meanwhile, he had applied to many prominent companies both on-campus and off-campus such as Amazon, DE Shaw, Optum, Cognizant, Infosys, and more.
Madhur revealed that he was given full-time job offers from Microsoft, Optum, and Cognizant as well as an internship opportunity from Amazon.
He also mentioned that he was given a full-time offer for the SDE position at Amazon based on how well he performed throughout the internship.
According to Madhur, he has always been interested in technology and its ability to change and have an impact on millions of lives around the world. He claimed that he always wanted to be a part of something this big.
He continued saying that initially he wanted to study computer science and someone advised him to major in upstream petroleum engineering, but he wasn't sure if that was the right career path for him.
However, he learned about the computer science specialisation in oil and gas informatics and decided to pursue the B.Tech course from UPES.
