I have been interested in the course ECE for a long time. Faculty to student ratio is a bit low here but they manage well by arranging the perfect timetable. More than 90% of our faculties are PhD holders. Exams were at a moderate level.
The course curriculum is relatively modern. It is on par with foreign universities. Faculty here are mostly doctorates and have studied in reputable institutions of the country. The course is rigorous and you need to study hard to keep up
The course I am doing is comparatively tough. we choose the faculties based on the slots provided to us. I chose this course as I was advised of its benefits and the value of studying electronics and communication. Faculties provided for each course depend on the level of credits the course carries. The term exam was relatively graded and lab exams were absolute grading
I was looking for CSE, IT, or ECE and I got ECE in the Vellore branch so I grabbed the opportunity The curriculum is a bit strange, here you have to appear for two mid-terms then a final, and a few quizzes. Faculties are well-qualified and some are highly qualified.
I chose this course because the electronics industry is in huge demand in the coming future. With the launch of 5g, there is also a very high demand in the communication sector. The faculty and student ratio is good in vit. But some faculty are very strict and they don't give you marks easily. The faculties are highly qualified and they have graduated from the top universities in India Exams do happen every month and they are moderate ones.
I choose ECE because I was interested in electronics since it has good scope in future. Few of the faculty over here are not good compared to the others. And the student ratio is 10boys-4girls. The exams are quite moderate and not too difficult to pass.
I chose B.Tech in ECE because I am interested in both coding and electronics. There are roughly 60 students in each class. The curriculum is very easy compared to government colleges but the faculty isn't very good or up to the mark.
I chose it because l like studying electronic components. They have a huge number of faculty and many students. Can't say about the ratio exactly but like 1:5. They all have completed their PhDs from NITs and IITs but they are a bit new and not much experienced. In 4 hours you will have 3 exams and yes the question comes a bit tricky in many shifts. You have to score a minimum of 64 marks to pass the course in all three of the exams.
If you think that you can work under technical giants later in years of study, then you should go for VIT. However, if you want to pursue your field of interest, and choose a likewise job scenario, then undoubtedly, you should enroll in IIIT Guwahati.
There are various differences between both the institutes for B.Tech ECE. Let’s walk through most of them:
Approaches of VIT:
The following table shows the placement statistics of both institutions:

12 LPA |
Average Salary |

Approaches of IIITG:
VIT is a reputed institute that is known to get you a job in the placement. If you’re willing to enter the job sector soon, join VIT.
CSE in IIIT Dharwad is a better option to opt for. As of now, they don't have a permanent campus but they will have their campus soon. See, there are pros and cons of every college/institute. Somewhere you might find one thing and another might be equipped with another better thing. IIIT Dharwad also has some pros and cons.
Cons:

Talking about VIT, if you have a huge amount of money in your pocket, then you can opt for it. Although, they are not providing any good placements in their records.
So, now you know about both the institutes very well, so choose wisely. All the best!
My brother had the option of VIT for CSE on merit still he chose PEC metallurgy. There are various reasons as to why he took that decision:

I personally believe VIT is overrated because a friend who did not even pass mains received 2000 AIR in VITEEE. In the CBSE 2016 boards, he scored 78 percent, which was below average.
A few of my friends are pursuing CSE at Amrita University and here are some tips according to their experience -
Considering many reviews that Amrita University is not up to the mark, it is suggested to drop one year and prepare well so that you can get a good seat at NIT at least.
You can try BITSAT as well. But don’t spoil your future by going into any college, which you will regret throughout your life.
Categories | ECE at VIT | CSE at Amrita University |
Course Fee | 7.83 lakh | 13.10 lakh |
Highest CTC | 21 LPA | 25 LPA |
Average CTC | 5 LPA | 4.8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Infosys, Byju’s, Capgemini, Oracle, etc. | Wipro, TCS, Dell, HCL, etc. |
However, make the right choice. It is suggested you opt for better colleges and drop out and prepare for the exams this year. So that there will be a chance of getting into a better college.
