Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a Deemed University located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and was established in the year 2010. The Chennai campus is part of VIT which was established in the year 1984. VITEEE
Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is a national-level engineering entrance exam for admission to 20 B. Tech programs are offered at VIT University. The basic eligibility to appear for VITEEE is a 10+2 pass or equivalent. The candidates can apply online and offline.

Yes, there was an entrance exam known as VITEEE. It is conducted once every year.
You can have yourself registered for it from their official website it costs 1200.
You would be given a center and date of your choice and the exams will be conducted.
Physics, Maths/Biology, Aptitude, and Chemistry total consisting of 90questions.
Once you give the exam within 2 to 3 days the rank will be given and people can get admission based on their ranks.
You should have more than 60% marks in the above-mentioned subjects and be given VITEEE then you are eligible for admission based on your rank.
Scoring a rank up to 4000 can give you seats with very less fees.
Don't worry you can still get admission if you have a rank more than that it is just that the fees will be taken more.
Any rank up to 20k can give you good seats in VIT, Chennai.

The admission process involves multiple steps starting from filling out the exam form viteee which occurs annually, after that the main exam happens and depending on the result the person is allocated seats and branches, there are no reservations of any sort

After qualifying for the exam you go for counselling round where you give a fee of 5000 and after that according to your rank you can choose your branch accordingly and after sometime round ends and you get to know whether you got your branch or not after counselling ends you get to choose for your hostel and mess

You have to apply and write the VITEE and entrance exam with a minimum of 75% in 12th boards no reservations of any kind were provided. The entire application process is online with an application fee of 1500 .exams are written offline though in the nearest VIT.

For admission to Vellore Institute of Technology, we have to appear for an online test conducted by the college itself.
The application form and application dates for the same were available on their website (www.vit.ac.in).
It would be better if they make the after-exam process more transparent like they should allow the candidates to view their response sheets.
