CSE from VIT Vellore is the better option. In fact, after IIITs and BITS, it is considered best for the CS domain. The video below will give you an honest review of VIT Vellore
If you have a good command over Data Structure, Algorithm Design, and a bit of competitive coding, you can easily bag lucrative salary packages from reputed companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. According to the placement highlights of recent years, VIT Vellore CSE average CTC stays around INR 7 LPA.
NIT Calicut stands among the top NITs where you will get a lot of exposure to extracurricular activities. As it’s a government college, the fees will be relatively low as compared to private universities like VIT Vellore.
On the other hand, VIT Vellore isn’t that great institute plus being a private institute the fees is quite high for most middle-class students. If you choose Mechanical here then you can go for two different paths.
Categories | Mechanical at NIT Calicut | CSE at VIT Vellore |
Course Fee | 5.48 lakhs | 7.83 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 20 LPA | 20 LPA |
Average CTC | 9 LPA | 6-8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | L&T, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Tata Motors, etc. | Flipkart, Oracle, HP, Dell, etc. |
At last, it all depends on your interest and caliber to do well on various career paths. However, if you are inclined towards CSE only then VIT is quite a good option because placements are pretty good there for CSE. Some of the major recruiters include PayPal, Microsoft, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc.
Considering this question, the first thing that can be highlighted is that both of these institutes cannot be compared at all. However, studying IT in IIIT Allahabad is far better as it offers several opportunities, as well as institutional environment and infrastructure to assist the student in their career growth appropriately.
However, CSE at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is not so secure considering the programming prospects and study culture that the student will get at IIITA. This choice is easy enough for the student to make as per their career perspectives.
The following table gives a brief overview of these two institutes:
Criteria |
IIITA |
VIT |
Highest CTC |
43 LPA |
41.6 LPA |
Lowest CTC |
20.83 LPA |
7 LPA |
Companies Visited |
120+ |
80+ |
Placement Statistics |
95% |
80% |
Thus, considering the above facts, it can be stated that between these two institutes, the student must go for IIIT Allahabad, as VIT can’t be compared at all.
You need to attempt TS ICET to get admission to Osmania University’s MBA course. TS ICET MBA cutoff score for 2022 is expected to be around 17845.
If you are able to clear the cutoff, you can get OU through counseling. Other than your ICET rank, your gender, and caste will also influence your eligibility.
ITM University is one of the emerging top private universities in the country. You might think that this is answer biased but personally I have no associations with any of these universities.
ITM University has grown tremendously in the last 6 years. The guests that the University invites in the convocation ceremony are no ordinary people but an alumnus at the university and you will be surprised to see the names. Here are a few names of the alumni:
Now, let us look at the comparison between the VIT University, Vellore CSE, and ITM University, Gwalior CSE.
Do not join VIT Vellore through management quota paying such a large amount, join only if you make it via entrance exam because it will not be beneficial.
ITM Gwalior provides you with good opportunities at a much lesser fee.
A few of my friends are pursuing CSE at Amrita University and here are some tips according to their experience -
Considering many reviews that Amrita University is not up to the mark, it is suggested to drop one year and prepare well so that you can get a good seat at NIT at least.
You can try BITSAT as well. But don’t spoil your future by going into any college, which you will regret throughout your life.
Categories | ECE at VIT | CSE at Amrita University |
Course Fee | 7.83 lakh | 13.10 lakh |
Highest CTC | 21 LPA | 25 LPA |
Average CTC | 5 LPA | 4.8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Infosys, Byju’s, Capgemini, Oracle, etc. | Wipro, TCS, Dell, HCL, etc. |
However, make the right choice. It is suggested you opt for better colleges and drop out and prepare for the exams this year. So that there will be a chance of getting into a better college.
According to the previous year’s VIT Vellore cutoff category-wise, you can get a seat in VIT Vellore in the CSE branch as you have rank under 27,000. You fall under category 4 based on the previous year’s cutoff.
Campus | Program | Category 1 | Category 2 | Category 3 | Category 4 | Category 5 |
