NIIT University Admission 2024: Courses, Fee, Application Process, Selection Criteria

There are 5 specializations in B.Tech., 5 specializations in Integrated M.Tech and 7 specializations in Integrated M.Sc. (CS) courses. Further, the institute also offers minor specializations under B.Tech. Candidates can check all the specializations below:

B.Tech. Specializations

NIIT University B.Tech., Integrated M.Tech., Integrated M.Sc Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed 10^th with 60% marks and successfully completed 10+2.
• In case of B.Tech.- Biotechnology, Integrated M.Tech, candidates must have studied Physics, Biology/Mathematics and English at 10+2 level.
• For B.Tech.- CSE/ECE, caniddates must have studied Physics, Mathemtics and English.
• For IB/Cambridge, candidates must have successfully completed any programme equivalent to 10+2.

NIIT University B.Tech., Integrated M.Tech., Integrated M.Sc Selection Criteria

• Candidates are selected for B.Tech. course on the basis of JEE Main/BITSAT/SAT/NEET or any other state engineering entrance examination score.
• Those who do not have any of the above scores need to appear in the NUAT exam conducted by the university itself.

NOTE – Candidates are strongly recommended to take NUAT as the university will consider the best score.

The university offers 2 specializations under M.Tech course namely Geographic Information Systems and Educational Technology.

NITT University M.Tech. Eligibility

• Candidates must have secured at least 50% in 10^th, 10+2, Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree(if applicable).
• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any field.
• Professionals with 3 years- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years adequate IT training and professional practicing in an ET relevant industry/ organization/ dept./ desk/ in India or abroad are eligible.
• Candidates with three-years relevant experience in any of the above-mentioned areas can also apply.

​NITT University M.Tech. Selection Criteria

• Admission to M.Tech course is through a unique Admission Interaction Process (AIP).
• The AIP consists of 2 parts: firstly candidates need to appear for the Aptitude Test which is of 40 minutes duration.
• Those who qualify the test will undergo the Applicant-Faculty Interaction process either face to face or through video conferencing.
• Selected candidates will have to submit the Acceptance letter duly signed by them and their parent/guardian within 5 working days of receiving the Admission Offer Letter along with a non-refundable acceptance cum admission processing fee of INR 25,000/-.

Key Points:

• The Pre-Service Applicants are required to appear for the NIIT University ET Admission Competency Test and a subsequent screening interview.
• The In-Service Applicants shall normally be evaluated on the basis of the candidates’ interest, experience and suitability for the Programme and the recommendation of the sponsoring organisation

NIIT University BBA and Integrated MBA Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed 10^th with 50% marks and successfully completed 10+2.
• Candidates must have studied any 4 subjects from Commerce/Science/Humanities streams and English.
• For IB/Cambridge, candidates must have successfully completed any program equivalent to 10+2.

NIIT University BBA and Integrated MBA Selection Criteria

• For admission into BBA and Integrated MBA, the university conducts Admission Interaction Process (AIP).
• The AIP consists of three parts: Questionnaire stating student’s aspirations and reasons for choosing engineering as a career option, NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT) and Student Personal Interaction either face-to-face or through video conferencing.
• Those who clear all the 3 rounds are provided admission in the course.

NIIT University offers the Ph.D. course of minimum 3-years duration under their Doctoral program. Candidates who have completed Master’s degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Management/ Social Science/ Commerce from recognized university. Candidates with BE or B.Tech Degree and minimum 8.85 CGPA on the scale of 10.0 and have valid GATE score are considered eligible to get admission to the course.

Admission to Ph.D. program is given on the basis of marks obtained in GRE/ GMAT/ JRF/ CSIR/ NET or candidate’s performance in the entrance test and interview round conducted by the University. The university entrance test and interview is given 40% and 60% weightage respectively.
