Panjab University, one of the oldest universities in India has been ranked among the top Universities in country by all the ranking agencies. It affiliates 194 colleges and 6 constituent colleges are spread over four districts of the state Punjab.
NIRF, in its recent rankings of 2022 has ranked the institute at 29th position in Research Category among top 50 universities in India. While it has successfully came ahead of its competitors like BITS Pilani, Alagappa University etc. Still, it has a long way to go up to reach at top place where IISc, Bangalore is placed.
