Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) From IIT Hyderabad, Hyderabad

Aspirants seeking admission to 3-year Full-time Ph.D. Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Candidates with an MTech/ME degree in Mechanical or related disciplines are eligible to apply. A valid GATE score is not a prerequisite for such candidates. Candidates without a Master's degree, but a valid GATE score and a BTech/BE in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Automobile Manufacturing, Machine Tool, Production, Production & Industrial Engineering, are also eligible to apply for the Ph.D. program (the GATE criterion is not mandatory for an IIT BTech student with a CGPA of 8.0 or above). Candidates working in reputed research organizations may also apply under an external Ph.D. program (candidates from external programs are not eligible for any stipend).
