IIT Hyderabad offers MTech in Data Science (MDS) which is an extension to the Executive MTech in Data Science (EMDS) and is equivalent to the regular MTech degree. The course is majorly for the working executives, so the classes are usually held on weekends and or other timings suitable for working professionals.
The course is self-paced with 48 credits which could be taken over in 3-5 years of duration. Like EMDS, students undergo 24 credits of course work in the first 2 years, and in the third year, the candidates are required to undergo 2 Capstone projects of 12 credits each. Students who wish to skip the Capstone projects, he/ she may graduate with the Executive MTech in Data Science.
