Remarks :
After the 12th I had to take an entrance exam known as CUET. It was good to have an entrance exam but the management was not good as I filled my nearest centre but I got my examination centre around 300-350 kms away from my home as it affected my exam. Then the result was released too late. But I think having an admission to DU is nothing less than having a diamond spoon. So this all was worthwhile but I'll say NTA needs to improve their exam management. I got reservation benefits of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). It was good to know that I got a little higher in college due to my reservation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I would say that the course curriculum and faculty members are average in this college. We have to take 2 Hindi subjects in the same semester. This is not good for having similar subjects in the same semester. I chose a Bachelor Of Commerce as I wanted to pursue my career in the commerce field. The faculty of this college is good. The teachers are really good and kind by nature. Always ready to help us. All the faculty members are PHD holders in their respective fields which I think is enough to make you understand about us teachers' qualifications. I am in my first year so I haven't taken any exams until now but I think my senior said they a standard exam and it is easy to score 9 CGPA. It is quite challenging
Internships Opportunities :
Our college offers internships at good level but I don't know properly the roles offered in the internship but companies like delloite offers internship in our college . They keeps giving internship offer but i think that is minimum for 2nd-year students
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for the placements in 3rd year and our college offers one of the best placements in DU. HR Managers of bug companies visit our college and eligible students give their interviews and they usually get selected in a good ratio. The highest package from our college went around 45 lakhs per annum last year. I'll surely give my interview in the placement and try to grab the placement
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
They have only 17000 rupees for a year and that is too low in today's time. I would say that everyone can afford this much of the fees for their college studies if we compare them to private colleges and their fee structures. I don't have any scholarships but they offer them every year
Campus Life :
Sri Venkateswara College keeps organising fests but they are not too good. They are just average ones. The library is very good for our college. You'll get all kinds of books. The classrooms of the college are good. There is no problem with the furniture. Our college excels in sports and extracurricular activities as last year our football team won 9 out of 13 tournaments organised at the university level and our students of different societies keep performing in different colleges and keeps earning awards. There are 32 societies in our college run by students and the student union which manages students of our college and fests too
