Remarks :

You have to take the jee adv exam to get into iit g and since iit g is an old iit you need to score relatively high marks to get good branches here at 600 air (cse ) at 1600(ece) at 2k(eee) at 5k(chem) at 5.5k(chem) at 6k(energy).

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is btech and since it is an IIT the faculty are the best in their fields profs here have done PhD from Stanfords of the world and the prof-student ratio is very healthy. Although there are a lot of exams in the ballpark weekly one or the other exam will be there and the exams are very tough but grading is relative.

Class Size : 20Course Fees : INR 260000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is very low as compared to the infra and the facilities the college provides us. To give you an amount the fee for 4 years is 10.3L paid over 8 semesters (1.3L per sem) but if you are poor the college gives you fee relaxation which is a lot like for some unprivileged stud fee is 1L for 4y.

Campus Life :

My college has a lot of fests and events every year like sports fest, test fest, culture fest(alcheringa), grand champion, etc apart from that there are a lot of cult clubs like you name it and a lot of tech clubs to pursue your interests. The sports infra is the best in the country.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are pretty much like any other hostel in the country but the iit difference is that you spent time with relatively smart people for 4 years in those hostel rooms which makes you smarter. well, the Infra of newer hostels on the campus is better.

The placement of the college is quite good. we cannot disclose the name of the company visiting the campus because the training and placement cell of NIT SILCHAR did not allow us to disclose the names of the companies. My plan after getting my degree is to go through the UPSC exam.

The College life at NIT SILCHAR

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I was interested in this course. Here the faculty-to-student ratio would be around 1:25 which is very good we can clarify our doubts by asking the faculty, the Qualification of the teaching method will mostly be the same, they are PhD, but their teaching experience plays a major role and their teaching method varies from faculty to faculty but it would be nice. Term exams would be around 5 months Difficulty in passing the exams depends on the faculty.

There are too many companies visiting the campus for recruitment. Almost all the students who are eligible for placements get placed with a good package.

The placement season in the college is a very important one. Even before that, students get to do internships from 2nd year of BTech, providing them exposure to all kinds of companies and job sectors. All kinds of companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Uber make their way out here in search of bright minds capable of developing the companies further. They even provide the students with Pre Placement Offers, if their internship performance is commendable. The highest package goes upto above 2 crore INR per year, with average packages of above 25 lakhs INR per year. Above 85% of the students get placed in the end, with the others interested in higher studies. Nobody is left idle. My plans after BTech are to pursue a well paying job with a good working atmosphere.
