Honest Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Remarks :

The admission process to this college is in a very systematic way to get into the B.Tech course first we have to clear an entrance exam named JEE Mains. This is an all-India exam conducted by NTA, if you get a good rank then you are eligible for admission to this college. The application form is easily available at the site NTA and the application fee for the general category is rs1000 and it has a discount for girls and reserved categories. Reserved students get benefits during the counseling as compared to general students. No, I don't see any improvement in the admission process it is already very systematic.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because of my excellent placement records in this course and also to have deep knowledge of electrical engineering. Student faculty ratio is about 7:1 . Professors here are highly qualified they have done BTech, and MTech and also had their ph.d degrees from some precious college. The teaching methods of most of the professors are good but you may not cope with everyone as the teaching style of every professor is not same . Terms exams are conducted twice a year with both mid-sem and end-sem. Exams here are not that easy you will have to work hard to get good grades.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many companies visiting such as Atlassian, Adobe, Power Grid, byjus, Flipkart, and many others. More roles provided are IT consultancy, finance management, and many other roles. With an average stipend 30000. There are various projects such as the CCA project and many more which have real-life implementation.

Placement Experience :

From the fourth semester, students start getting internships and placements from the seventh semester. Names of the companies are Atlacian, Power Grid, byjus, Flipkart and many more they made 800+ offers. The highest placement last year was 81 lpa and the average package was 18 lpa. Except civil there was almost a hundred percent placement in all branches. I want to get placed in a good company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for general candidates is almost 1lakh including hostel and mess fees but there is some fee reimbursement based on category and financial status. There are many scholarships available for students such as e-kalyan and many to help them financially during the course.

Campus Life :

There are three fests conducted Culfest (march - April), Ojas - the technomanagennt fest ( June -July ), and the urja- sports fest(September -November ). There are almost all types of books available in the library which are always available for the students. Classrooms are well furnished and have projectots and Ac in every room. There are almost all types of sports available within the campus which students can access and many extracurricular activities are conducted every week. There are many clubs run by students such as beat breakers- dancing club, rooh- singing club and many more.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels here are adequate and sufficient for a student to live in the first year you get double-occupied rooms but in the second year, you get single rooms. In the hostel, you get a bed chair table fan lights and a cupboard. Meal quality is average and sufficient for everyone to enjoy the meal. Hostel registration is done during the admission process it's cost is 15000 per semester and mess fees are 17000 per semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical engineering being a circuital branch has a wide range of possibilities ahead. It can also be considered as evergreen branch whose demand is atleast not going to end soon. Faculty here are PhD professionals but some might not like the teaching methodologies as it is quite different from the regular schooling/coaching methodologies. Term exams are strictly followed and on basis of regular intervals to check learning process. It is pretty easy to pass the exams if someone only pays attention in class or refer to notes by professors.

The faculty are here so much more friendly. Some of them try to act like a professor but they are not. Some of the professors are very good and even they take the time to solve our doubts in their cabin. They support students in every aspect. They are good in every aspect.
