About SJCE
Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering is a private Institute established in 1963 and affiliated with VTU Belgaum. SJCE is the first college in Karnataka to introduce Electronics and Communication branch of Engineering in the year 1968. The College has been approved by AICTE and NBA and has been ranked at #151 by NIRF 2023. The campus is spread over 117 acres of area and it consists of several recognizable buildings.
SJCE offers sevearl courses at the UG, PG and Doctoral level such as BE, MTech, MBA, MCA, and PhD. However, the institute is mainly known for its flagship BE course and admission is strictly based on qualifying exams like KCET and COMED K. The Institute accepts a valid KCET score followed by counselling rounds for BE admission. The SJCE KCET cutoff 2023 for the BE program ranged from 2408-118449 for the general merit category students. Candidates can also apply for the MBA and MCA programs which is offered for a duration of 2 years. Candidates must have a valid PGCET score to apply for the SJCE PG programs. The institute alos offers PhD programs for a duration of 3 years and admisison to this course is based on the merit-basis.
SJCE placements 2023 reports are out. The stduents of the institute have received more than 700 no. of offers from top companies like Sony, Tital and Tech Mahindra. The highest package recorded by the institute was iNR 56 LPA in the BE Computer Science Engineering department whereas the lowest package stood at INR 7 LPA in the Construction Technology Management branch. Furthermore, SJCE provides internship opportunities to students every year. M.Tech students are offered around 8 weeks of Industrial training followed by project assignments. The Internship stipend ranges between INR 15,000/- per month to INR 35,000/- per month. More than 25 companies visit the college to recruit students for internship.

Admissions at SJCE are made on marks obtained in the qualifying entrance exam.
- For B.E. admissions, applicants need to submit CET/ COMED-K
- For M.Tech admissions, applicants need to submit Karnataka PGCET exam score.
How to apply?
- Eligible applicants can apply for KCET counseling online through KEA official website.
- Click on the 'new user' button and proceed with the creation of login ID and password.
- After filling up all the personal and academic details, click on ‘Submit’
- Upload scanned images of the documents required
- An application number and challan will be generated
- Select a bank/ e-post office from the list and download the challan
- Take a print-out of the challan and submit it with the application fee at respective bank/ e-post office

- Campus- The campus of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering sprawling 117 acres of land with several recognizable buildings.
- Student Clubs- The institute own several student clubs which are responsible for conducting many debates and discussions in the campus. These clubs aims to encourage students to step outside their comfort zone and participate in different events that they wouldn’t otherwise.
- Sports- Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering has an outstanding facility for games and sports to keep its students physically active and strong. The games include table tennis, basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, throwball, and many more.
- Student Welfare- The institute hosts different literary and cultutral events to foster the cultural talent of the students. Cultutal events like JAYCIANA, SAMSKRUTHI and literary events like SHABD are hosted where students are required to participate and showcase their talent.
- Hostel- The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus. The boys hostel has a total accomodation of 700 students and currently it facilitates 645 students. The girls hostel has the accodomation capacity of around 200 students and currently, 160 students are residing at the campus and Hootagalli hostel. Both the hostel provides facilities like RO System for drinking water, Wi-Fi internet, Parking lot for two wheelers, and Electricity (24 hours).
