Resourceful students and less better opportunities

Remarks :

For the admission process HAU entrance exam is being conducted and the criteria for the selection is a cutoff( 75) per year 2020 for 250 seats and the cutoff is low for reservations. The date of application, fees, and syllabus for the entrance are available on the CCSHAU portal.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Agriculture is a rising sector, especially in a country like India being interested in agribusiness management I opted for such. All the faculty members are professors as well as researchers who are very capable of briefing theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Exams were conducted timely According to the university schedule. It was a bit difficult to pass the exam due to the short duration of the examination conducted.

Internships Opportunities :

Most companies visit for summer internship programs as well. Banks like HDFC Visit for placement but the package per annum is less than the average and the number of vacancies is bare to a minimum in number.

Placement Experience :

In the 7th and 8th semesters, students are eligible for campus placement. HDFC bank visited for the placement. Students with above a 7.5 GPA can apply for such placement as the number of vacancies is less as well. After completing my graduation I want to pursue agribusiness management.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is affordable for most of the students and some recession is given to girls and physically handicapped students as well. Fee hikes were noticed back this year but due to students' requests, it was declined. MCM, PMS, ICAR, and semester scholarship to suitable candidates is provided.

Campus Life :

No fests are conducted but seminars are conducted for students timely with different professionals from different sectors and training is conducted on different topics Nehru Library is the name of the library that is full of different aspects of books such as agricultural, biotech, philosophy, food science, animal sciences, and engineering aspects related to agriculture. Classrooms are fully furnished with Air conditioners. Different types of sports are available at the university such as boxing, basketball, badminton, kabbadi, and athletics. No social clubs are run by students but extra classes for extra curriculum such as debate and declamation, photography, music and dance, and cultural dramas are being conducted.

Hostel Facilities :

The infrastructure provided in a hostel is average and no special facilities such as Ac or heater are provided. The quality of meals is good to average and the menu is good. Registration for a hostel is done by paying security deposits of Rs. 3000 and hostel accommodation is affordable at Rs. 450 per month. And mess bills are excluded.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the chances of getting a job are higher than simple bsc. In this degree, we have 9 major subjects. In the first 6 semesters, we have theory as well as practical classes. The 7th and 8th semester is just like the internship program. Faculty members are very good and supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opted for it, because of my keen interest in agriculture as I am from an agricultural family. Apart from this, I see numerous enterprise opportunities particularly associated with horticulture field. Students enrolled in the university are allotted an advisor, and normally for every 8 students, there is an advisor who apart from their studies helps them in their overall development. Most of the faculty members hold PhD degrees in their respective fields while some of them have worked on research projects and have international degrees as well. Talking about the exams, exams are always in accordance with the schedule and are held timely but sometimes they take a bit longer to declare the results, While exams are not that tough and one can easily pass them one needs to be consistent in their studies for better results.
