Hindustan University is mainly known for three branches- Mechanical, Aerospace and Aeronautical. The university is good and you can definitely consider it for your studies.
Following are a few tips to prepare yourself for the exam:
2 months are enough to prepare for the exam and sharpen your skills. A lot of it also depends on inherent abilities, if you have a high IQ, a reasonably good aptitude for cracking logical puzzles, and are fairly good at the English language.
To convert a CGPA into a percentage in Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) you need to multiply your CGPA/SGPA by 8.8.
For example - If your CGPA is 8, then, your equivalent percentage is - 8 * 8.8 = 70.4%.

After clearing the written exam for the MS aerospace engineering admission, the candidates have to attend an interview at IIT Madras. The shortlisted candidates are informed via an email 15 days before the scheduled date of the interview.
The interview is based on technical questions. Candidates are asked undergraduate-level questions on topics such as aerodynamics, propulsion systems, flight mechanics, structures, materials, and control systems. Some general questions that the interviewers usually ask are-
The purpose of such questions is to assess the problem-solving skills and analytical thinking of a candidate.
I hope I could provide you with some relevant insight into the interview process for MS Aerospace Engineering admissions at IIT Madras. You must prepare your graduate-level topics well and showcase good analytical and problem-solving skills during the interview.
When considering joining a B-School, it's important to look at various factors to determine if it's the right fit for you. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from IBS Hyderabad:
It is better to choose a college with an IIT tag because it will give you security regarding placements. IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee both have a good placement record, and their IIT tag makes them a better choice for Architecture students.
Here is a comparison between SPA Delhi, IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur:
PARTICULARS | IIT ROORKEE | IIT KHARAGPUR | SPA DELHI |
---|---|---|---|
NIRF 2023 Architecture Ranking | 1 | 3 | 5 |
India Today Architecture Ranking 2023 | 2 | 1 | 4 |
Placement Percentage (B.Arch) | 90% | 71% | 77% |
Average Package (B.Arch) | INR 18.34 LPA | INR 16 LPA | INR 7.2 LPA |
After considering all the factors, I would suggest you choose IIT Roorkee for your B.Arch. The next best option would be IIT Kharagpur.
I think the major problem that IIT Jodhpur faces is its locational disadvantages. It lacks facilities like flight connectivity with other metros and this directly affects the number and quality of MNCs that visit during placements.
Another problem that IIT Jodhpur students face is the long distance between hostels and college as they have to spend a lot of money traveling between campus and hostels. IIT Jodhpur also lacks in terms of academia and industrial ties again because of its poor location. However, the Mechanical engineering department has started several industry immersion programs so exposure is not an issue for them.
One of my female friends is a student at NIT Kurukshetra. She realized that the world is a patriarchal society. The rules and regulations at NIT Kurukshetra too seemed to agree with this. The girls have to follow a strict hostel time of around 7 PM in winter and 8 30 in summer. For the boys, the same time is 10 pm. Also, they don't have to fill out a form every time they want to go out. Girls are not even allowed to roam freely late at night or access the 24/7 CCN, the library, or other things boys have access to.
Girls are not allowed to order food after 10 p.m. They are asked to change their clothes when wearing shorts or capris. The girls are not allowed to stay late and attend events like Star Night or any of the college band performances while the boys can stay for the rest of the performance.
My friend found no equality with her male counterparts at NIT Kurukshetra. There are many other instances where acts of discrimination have occurred. My friend feels that equality should start from an educational institute and only then can it extend outside.
So if you are a girl, and are planning to come to NIT Kurukshetra, you should be prepared for similar instances of gender discrimination. On the bright side, it will teach you how to deal with patriarchy outside college better because isn't the situation similar everywhere?
As a B.Tech Mechanical Engineering student at NITK, I am sharing some facts about my department-
One of my friends wanted to work at the IITs. He told one of the professors about the same. The teacher mailed an IIT Hyderabad professor and arranged for my friend to work with him. My friend also wrote a conference paper under the same IIT Hyderabad professor.
Several workshops are organized by the department, like Metal fitting workshop, Carpentry workshop, Lathe machine workshop, etc. The campus also offers virtual labs, which are present in some IITs and NIT Surathkal only.
Apart from these UG labs, there are several PG labs as well. UG and PG students can also work with each other.
Overall, the Mechanical department of NIT Surathkal is quite good. In fact, NITK is known for its CS, Mining and Mechanical studies.
NIT Warangal is mainly oriented towards the courses BTech, MTech, and MCA. This institute is not good for MBAs. It is better to opt for institutes like IIMs, Symbiosis, ISB, etc. to get more exposure to the subject. So do not opt for NIT Warangal if you have better options in hand.
