TA

Lives in New Delhi

Both SRM University and IMT Ghaziabad are well-known universities in India, although their infrastructure differs in key ways.

A large campus at SRM University is home to contemporary amenities like well-stocked labs, libraries, gyms, and dorms. The site is kept up nicely and offers a conducive learning environment for pupils. The university places a big emphasis on research, and there are many centers of excellence in many subjects.

While IMT Ghaziabad has a smaller, in comparison to SRM University, a campus that is well-designed and equipped with all the amenities students generally need. The campus also offers a library, computer labs, sports facilities, and hostels. The institute places a lot of emphasis on interacting with the industry, and it has partnered with a number of top businesses for internships, projects, and job placements.

The student's preferences and professional objectives would determine which option they would select between the two. SRM University is a superior option for a student who wants to pursue academic achievement and research. IMT Ghaziabad would be a better choice, however, if a student is more concerned with exposure to industry and job placements. Before selecting a choice, careful investigation and consideration of all the relevant elements are essential.

Between KJ Somaiya EXTC and Swami CS, which is better?

VS
Vaishali Singh Posted On : January 9th, 2023
B.tech in Information Technology, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering (Graduated 2020)

You must ask yourself what interests you. Choose a branch that is only allowed by your marks and cutoffs. That is the most serious error you can make. Without a doubt, the college from which you graduate is significant. What matters more is what academic records and experiences you leave with. If your grades allow you to choose between SC and ST in Swami, you will be eligible for many more colleges and branches. Even in KJSCE for EXTC. Yes, both colleges are excellent. You should pursue CS in Swami, but don't just enroll in colleges and branches because your grades and cut-offs allow you to.

Allow yourself plenty of time. Make a decision that will benefit you and your interests in the long run. Don't get your seat confirmed anywhere until the last round of admission and vacancy until you get one of those you want to be in. the cutoffs for vacancy seats fall like anything at the end of admission rounds. students with scores of 170 and 120 have been seen in the same class.

Which university should one select in Canada for graduate studies from the following two, University of Windsor or Dalhousie University?

SR
Swastika Roy Posted On : January 13th, 2021
Master of Engineering Electrical Engineering, University of Windsor (2019)

Ranking wise Dalhousie University is good and the Job opportunity-wise University of Windsor is better, Halifax has more part-time job opportunities and fewer full-time jobs and the pay scale is lower and the tax is higher. As an international student, you might face difficulty with tuition and funding. At Halifax you will get plenty of parttime jobs. Since Halifax is also larger than Windsor, you will have more options.

Both universities have good placement with an 85.91% Employment rate of the University of Windsor and 84% Employment rate of Dalhousie University.

The University of Windsor is known for many leading programs like Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Graduate Studies, Human Kinetics, Law, Nursing, Business, and Science whereas Dalhousie University is known for its programs like Arts & Humanities, Clinical, pre-clinical & health, Engineering & Technology, Life sciences, Physical sciences, Social sciences, and Business & Economics.

QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020 has ranked only Dalhousie University at #301-500. Selecting a university depends upon your priority. If you want to get a good education go for Dalhousie University but to get settled early in Canada go for Windsor University. Overall Dalhousie University is the potential choice as you can always move to Ontario if you don't find any job in Nova Scotia.

Is IITRAM better than Nirma & PDPU for civil engineering?

DM
Divyansh Modi Posted On : March 21st, 2023
Lives in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Absolutely, if you are interested in pursuing civil engineering in Gujarat, then IITRAM is a better option than Nirma and PDPU. There are several reasons for this.

  • IIT Gandhinagar is the mentor of IITRAM, and it has a COE by Siemens. This association ensures that IITRAM provides excellent facilities and exposure to its students.
  • IITRAM is the nodal centre in Gujarat for the E-Yantra project (Robotics) initiated by IIT Bombay. This project enables students to gain hands-on experience in robotics, which is essential in today's world.
  • The Board of Governance and Academic Council of IITRAM comprise directors, deans, and professors from IIT Gandhinagar, which is also reflected in the college's brochure. The faculty selection for IITRAM is done by IIT GN, and the syllabus is decided with the help of IITB.
  • IITRAM has a Siemens Centre of Excellence, which has nine extraordinary labs, along with 13 other labs, providing practical knowledge to students.

Therefore, if you are an ACPC student in Gujarat, it is a golden opportunity for you to pursue civil engineering at IITRAM.

However, it is essential to note that IITRAM is an excellent option only if you have an interest in core branches such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering. If you are interested in computer science, then you should prefer Nirma. On the other hand, if you are interested in petroleum, then PDPU would be a better option for you. LD is also a very good option for those who cannot afford Nirma and PDPU.

Which private university is better for an MTech - M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, REVA University, or PES University?

TP
Tiyas Pal Posted On : May 1st, 2023
studied Computer Science at PES University (2019)

If you are considering pursuing an MTech, in India, you may have come across some negative opinions about the value of this degree. Here are some things to consider while making your decision:

  1. Job Opportunities: It is not entirely true that no company hires PG students. However, it is true that the demand for MTech graduates is lower than that for Bachelor's graduates. Companies usually prefer Bachelor's graduates as they are considered more cost-effective and easier to train. However, some specialized fields like research and development, design and analysis, or product development may prefer candidates with a Master's degree.
  2. College Reputation: Some colleges in India have closed down their PG departments due to low demand, and some are running just for prestige. However, there are still many reputed universities in India that offer MTech programs. While choosing a college, you should research the reputation of the college and the credibility of the program.
  3. VTU Specialization: VTU, or Visvesvaraya Technological University, is a public state university in Karnataka that offers engineering programs. However, some specializations in VTU have fewer takers, with just 1 or 2 students, indicating low demand.

REVA University is a relatively young university in Karnataka, established in 2013. It is trying to build up its reputation and credibility by offering quality education and facilities.

MS Ramiah University and PES University are well-established and reputed universities in Karnataka, offering quality education and facilities. They have been on the top universities list or reputed universities list for a long time.

In conclusion, pursuing an MTech degree in India can still be a viable option, depending on your career aspirations and goals. While choosing a college, you should consider the reputation of the college and the credibility of the program. You can choose between a new university like REVA University or a well-established and reputed university like MS Ramiah University or PES University based on your preference and research.
