Works as an Educational Counsellor

Completing a Master’s degree is definitely a better option for your future from a qualification point of view. University of Windsor is a well ranked institution and offers good courses to their students. A post graduate is more likely to get a good salary job as compared to a graduate.

Other factors like diversity, costs, co-ops availability and career goals also matter and are bound to be different for everyone.

While Canadian Universities are pretty good, do keep in mind that there are some better than others. Having said that, University of Windsor is a decently ranked university with significant repute as compared to many other Canadian Universities.

University of Windsor key stats:

  • There are 3,500 international students amongst the population of 15,000.
  • The acceptance rate of the institution is 65%.
  • Tuition fee for graduate programs is 20,900 to 24,320 USD.
  • Scholarships and bursaries are available but limited in number.
  • With 86-90% employment rate it is not hard to find decent placements and internship opportunities.
  • The highest employment rate was seen in the Computer Science department (95%) and lowest was seen in the agriculture department (84%) which is still pretty good.

There are many course specific details required for the admissions. 70% is the minimum percentage required for bachelor’s degree and being an international student you will need to provide good scores for your English proficiency and other exams like GRE/GMAT.

Finally, your choice of course should depend on your future goals. So if all the things are favorable to you one can apply to this university.

VP

M.Eng(Industrial) from University of Windsor (2018)

While it's not the best university out there, it's a good place to go for engineering if you plan to work and later settle in Canada. The University of Windsor is good for doing masters of automobiles engineering. It may not have its name among the top 10 in the lists. This automatically means that you have to work hard to get a job and build a network in Canada. The city also does not have any technical job opportunities, so you will eventually have to travel to some other places. Here’s a general gist of this place:

  • The acceptance rate of the university is 65%.
  • The university was ranked #601 out of 800 universities by The World University Rankings 2020 which means its fairly reputed.
  • Bursaries and scholarships are offered to international students who display talent.
  • 86-90% is the employment rate which is very good.
  • Approximate tuition fee for 16 months is: 20,900 to 24,320 USD.

The city is quite calm and composed. It has less expenditure in housing and insurance. The city also has a good transport system throughout the city. If you can work hard for yourself, then this university is good for doing masters.
