EEE Job Roles:

According to the placement records NIT Uttarakhand will be a better option than UIET Chandigarh, be it CSE or EEE. Both CSE and EEE are very much in demand due to the rapidly growing corporate sector and the growing demand for Power Engineers and Telecommunication Engineers.
IIIT Hyderabad is considered to be one of the best colleges in the country to pursue computer science and engineering due to the excellent consistency it has obtained with the placement rate and the strong conceptual foundation offered to the students along with an intensive hands-on experience in designing and building prototypes. The college is mostly renowned for the highly consistent placement rate of the CSE branch which is mostly over 90%, and a 100% placement rate of CSE branch was recorded during the 2018-19 academic session with the highest CTC of 46 LPA. Whereas, the median and average CTC offered was respectively, 20 LPA and 8 LPA. The major recruiters were Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, VMware, Walmart, etc.
IIT Madras which has been ranked as the no. 1 engineering college in India many times by NIRF has got some of the most prestigious and dedicated faculty members. They impart in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge through an extensive curriculum that makes the students ready for industry. The college had a 86% placement rate for electrical engineering in the session 2018-19, while the average salary package offered was 12.4 LPA. Top recruiters offering roles of analyst, software engineer, hardware engineer, power engineer are Intel, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, ISRO, American Express, and many more.
Both the courses are vastly different from each other and both institutions are the premier institutions of the country, and it would not do justice to pick one over the other. So choose the institute based on your choice of branch.
Between MSIT ECE and MAIT EEE, the former is the better alternative. As a branch ECE has better future prospects than EEE. You have to work hard to secure a decent placement opportunity in the field of EEE.

IIT Indore is ranked 10th for engineering and 13th amongst IITs by the NIRF 2020. IIT Bhubaneswar is ranked 11th among the IITs and 12th among the engineering colleges by India Today 2020. IIT Dhanbad is ranked 12th for engineering and 12th amongst IITs by the NIRF 2020.
Admission Details:
The process for admission is the same for all the IITs. There are 85 seats, 70 seats, and 123 seats in the EEE branch at IIT Indore, IIT Bhubaneswar, and IIT Dhanbad.
Candidates are selected based on their scores in JEE Main and advanced followed by JoSAA counselling.
Students need a 75% or above aggregate in their 10+2 exams in science stream.
For M.Tech, students need a Bachelor’s degree and a valid GATE score.

Infrastructure:

It has two to three canteens placed across the campus. The campus has multiple sports facilities like Badminton, Tennis, and Basketball courts. It also has 24/7 medical facilities.
IIT Bhubaneswar:
It has all facilities including Wi-Fi, centralized air-conditioning system, and medical facilities. The college also offers medical insurance, indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
IIT Dhanbad:
The institute has Asia’s second-largest library with over 12 thousand books and papers. The labs have a capacity of 100 students.
All three IITs have similar placement records and infrastructure. So, students need to focus on their JEE scores and get a seat in any of these colleges.
EEE is one of the premier undergraduate programs offered in the SSN College of Engineering. The EEE department consists of a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty of 30 members. The department emphasises sound practical knowledge while nurturing creativity in the students.
CSE at Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) involves the study of computer programming, network, etc. The institute is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE. It is ranked 56th in the engineering category by NIRF.

Finally, it is entirely upon the candidates’ choice of interest. Ultimately it is based on the subject on which you will be working hard and putting efforts. CSE will have its portion of electrical and electronics and vice versa.
One advantage of pursuing EEE is that you can specialize in one of its core subjects or switch to computer science. Moreover, every department has nowadays a computer programming course.
You should first consider the branch and then look at the college that you want to go to. Go through the brochures, as well as whatever information is available on the website, that will provide details about the course structure. This will help you gain a brief idea about what you can expect in the next four years of your academic life, and if it suits you.

UIET and CGC Landran were placed in the rank band of 201-250 according to the recent NIRF Rankings, 2020. Both degrees have a 4-year duration but UIET offers a BE degree whereas CGC Landran offers a B.Tech degree in Engineering.

Total seats for EEE in UIET are around 120. The total fees for the duration of 4 years are Rs.3.26 lakh.
Scholarships: This college provides scholarships for families whose income is less than 2.5lacs annually.
Placement:
Students become eligible for placement in this college after the 7th semester. The placement rate is 49%.
Few students get placed and the salary package received is of 4-5 lakh annually.

CGC Landran (CSE):
CGC Landran’s B.Tech course was ranked 52nd out of 75 colleges in India in 2019 according to the Chronicle.
Admission:
JEE Mains result is accepted for this college too and the admission procedure starts in September and continues till April.
Total seats for this stream at CGC Landran are around 300. The total fees for 4 years are around Rs.3.62 lakh.
Placements:
The placement rate for this stream is 70%.
The average salary package for the CSE stream is around 3-4 LPA.
The highest package in 2018 was 32 LPA in Amazon.
Around 300-400 companies including Infosys, Cognizant, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Dell, IBM, etc. visit for placement in this college.
Moreover, 66.66% of seats are reserved for state quota and 33.3% seats are reserved for management quota at CGC Landran but at UIET there is no state quota. The choice of the stream depends on the student’s interest.
IIT Dhanbad is a much older institution than IIT Bhubaneswar. It ranks 12th and the latter ranks 22nd in the Engineering category of NIRF 2020.
ECE from IIT Dhanbad has 60% placement with a salary package of 11 lakhs per annum. EE from IIT Bhubaneswar has a better placement percentage of 86% with a salary package of 11 lakhs per annum or more. IIT Dhanbad is mostly popular for its Environmental Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Mining Machinery Engineering, etc. with the highest placement percentage of 83%, 91%, 80%, 88% respectively.
IIT Bhubaneswar is better than IIT Dhanbad in terms of faculty because IIT Dhanbad mainly focuses on the Mining and Machinery Engineering than ECE, due to this reputed and experienced faculty members are more in this department. IIT Bhubaneswar majorly focuses on their core engineering subjects making it more valuable for a student to opt for.
IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Dhanbad have good infrastructure and similar facilities like Hostels, sports ground, Media entertainment rooms, gym, mess facility, canteens, cafeterias, multi-purpose stores for stationary, bakery goods, etc. Both institutions also have many clubs and conduct various cultural events around the year.
Both the institution have their advantages so choose the institution based on your choice of course.
The better option between IIT Hyderabad for EE and IIT Bhubaneswar for CS entirely depends upon the interest and ability of the student. If you are interested in CS or EE, then you will have opportunities in both colleges.

If you intend to work hard in your 1st year Choosing EE at IIT Hyderabad is the better alternative. Otherwise, go for CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar.
NIRF 2020 has ranked GRIET 172 for BTech. EEE or Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at GRIET aims at providing good education to the students with emphasis upon design aspects of electrical systems.
Admissions: The EEE department at GRIET offers BTech for EEE and MTech courses for Power Electronics and Power Systems.
At GRIET, the B. Tech course in EEE has 120 student intake and Postgraduate programmes in Power Electronics and Power Systems has 30 seats.
Admission is given on the basis of score of EAMCET for BTech course. Whereas, GATE or PGCET scores are accepted for MTech admission.
In 2019 the EAMCET closing cutoff for EEE was 6072.
70% of seats are given on merit basis while remaining to management quota or NRI candidates.
The course fee for BTech is 4.88 lakhs. Whereas, the MTech courses cost around 1.14 lakhs.
