Are MSIT, MAIT, DCE Ggn, and Chandigarh University reputed colleges?

PK
Paritosh Kumar Posted On : July 23rd, 2021
B.Tech Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (2019)

The four institutes mentioned in the question are entirely different in terms of standards, facilities, placement, and overall development of students in the institute. The points below state their standards in the educational field, mentioning some of their advantages.

  • MAIT and MSIT are reputed institutes in India and are much ahead of institutes like DCE GGN. So, no comparison can be drawn among them in the field of engineering.
  • MAIT and MSIT are decent engineering colleges, offering good facilities on campus. Both the institutes have an excellent infrastructure and offer placement which is above average in most departments.
  • Both MAIT and MSIT rank high in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University college rankings.
  • Among the institutes considered, MAIT can be considered to be the best option. This is because of the zero percent attendance policy in the institute, which gives plenty of time to students for self-study and personal development.

So, some of the colleges on the list are very good engineering colleges, not all. Especially, MAIT is considered to be the best choice among them.

I have completed my 12th standard and I am planning to go for an NTTF diploma program which gives a mechatronics diploma as well as a B.Voc degree. Should I go?

Diploma Tool and Die Making ,Nettur Technical Training Foundation

One of my friends graduated from NTTF recently and according to him, if you don't have any government job aspirations then you can go with NTTF.

This is because NTTF doesn't have AICTE approval and you won't be able to apply for government sector jobs. However after diploma chances of getting a job easy than a bachelor that is the only point.

Since you are getting a diploma from NTTF along with a B. Voc Degree from a reputed college together B. Voc degree is government approved and makes you eligible for government jobs and you will be learning practical oriented skills at NTTF.

How did you manage your B.Com. while studying for the IPCC/finals? Was your attendance always above 75% at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics?

AR
Anapeksha Roy Posted On : August 6th, 2021
Studies Economics at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics

My sister is an alumnus of NM College and she shared some tricks regarding attendance which you may find useful. In NM College, you will not get your attendance, if you miss the first lecture.

For eventually maintaining both B.Com and your IPCC finals, you should check for the subjects that you rather find uninteresting, and skip those lectures to study on your own. Other than that, if you consider taking a one day leave in the week, spend that by studying individually, instead of doing other insignificant chores.

There is no regulation whatsoever regarding a student not being allowed to sit in the college library after the lecture period is over. In the library, you will find planty of company even at 7 P.M.

Also, even if you go on to miss one lecture a week, you will still be maintaining 75% as the average, or sometimes, even more. Hope this helps you.

With 4 years of experience, which college is good for an MBA in marketing - XLRI, Jamnalal Bajaj, ISB or Great Lakes?

DD
Devdarshini Dey Posted On : July 7th, 2021
Studied Strategy & Operations at ISB, Hyderabad (2017)

XLRI is considered among the best Management institutes in India and is at par with IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta. Great Lakes does not come under the same class as XLRI, Jamnalal Bajaj, or ISB therefore it should be considered as the last option.

  • If you want to finish your degree in 1 year or do the 1 year PGP then ISB will be the best choice without a doubt.
  • ISB’s 1 year PGP course is better recognized by industries compared to XLRI’s GM.
  • XLRI requires at least work experience of 5 years which you don’t currently possess.
  • If you plan on doing a 2-year course then XLRI will be the best opportunity among the given options.
  • XLRI’s BM course is known throughout the world and is also considered the best HR course in all of Asia.
  • Jamnalal Bajaj is somewhat difficult to get into because it has got fewer seats and has reserved seats for various categories.
  • Not only that, it has maintained the name in the top 10 B schools of the country consistently for the past few years.

Therefore, XLRI would be the first choice for Marketing as it comes in the top 5 B-schools and is very well recognized.

HS
Harish Shah Posted On : December 29th, 2022
IIM Bangalore, Class of 2017

Either do it or don't. There must not be just an attempt when you are determined to go for IIM Bangalore.

If you want to be exceptional in academics, you must give your all and fight until the bitter end. If you want to land one of the best jobs during campus placements, you must prepare thoroughly and maintain your confidence.

If you want to succeed in case study competitions, which are winner-takes-all situations, you and your group members must be determined and focused on analyzing and solving the case. If you want to excel in extracurricular activities, such as sports, sketching, or writing, pursue them with zeal. Work hard if you want to excel in any field at the IIMs.

My name is misspelled in my BSc degree. Will I get admission in MSc in Sharda University or will it create a problem?

UJ
Upasana Jain Posted On : July 23rd, 2021
BSc. Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata (2021)

It is necessary to have correct documents before getting admitted to any kind of educational or professional entry everywhere. If you have incorrect spelling in a college certificate then it can cause several problems in the future.

The points below state the necessary steps that you should take immediately.

  • If you have any kind of errors in names or other personal information, report it to the HOD or the college principal quickly. In most cases, they generate an application letter, which is then sent to the university to issue a new certificate with the corrected details.
  • If you are from the same state as that of the University, the process will then take less time as compared to students coming from other states.

It is clear that such a problem must be cleared as soon as possible, as it may hamper the admission of students into any institute in general.
