Offline Procedure:
- Download the form to be filled up
- Fill in all the details and determine the total cost depending on the number of sets of transcripts you want. Usually a single transcript costs around 40 INR.
- Inside the campus, you will find an SBI. Go there and pay challan along with 20 extra for Bank transactions.
- Next, write the last 6 digits of your challan number on the form and submit it at the enquiry counter 3.
- Applications are usually accepted between 11 am and 3.00 pm so go early if you aren’t from Hyderabad.
You can get the transcript from the counter 2A after 3 pm.

How is the life of a resident doctor pursuing neurosurgery at NIMHANS after an MBBS? Can we get a sneak peek into work hours, leisure activities, and culture at the institute?
Here is the routine of a Neurosurgery resident at NIMHANS.
The department is subdivided into 6 units, each of which is headed by an internationally acclaimed faculty member. The day of a resident starts at around 6 AM with a routine assessment of patients in all the wards under one’s respective unit for the month.
This is followed by academics which start at 8 AM. It runs for 1-1 ½ hours. During this time, the cases posted for surgery are presented by senior residents. These are then discussed among faculty members and residents to reach a decision for the optimal treatment of that case.
After this, the senior residents head to the OT complex, and junior residents present rounds to the faculty. Decisions on further treatment/discharge are made during the rounds.
Junior residents then perform ward procedures like External Ventricular Drain Insertion, Lumbar drains, Lumbar Punctures, Shunt Taps, Fontanelle Tap, Tracheostomies, etc. under supervision. This is followed by evening rounds by the faculty/ senior residents. After these, any leftover work is completed. The evening ends with a post-op call to the respective consultant, and the duty ends at 9 PM when the night duty resident takes over.
The OPD for a particular unit is held on a fixed day. It is also a casualty call day for the unit. Life as a neurosurgery resident is so busy that even having meals is like a luxury.

What is “internal back” in AKTU?
The internal back is a warning given by your teachers to score well in external exams. Otherwise, you might get a year back. This is actually for the students who have failed internal exams. How is NIT Rourkela?
The standard of education and the institute's credibility can alone be determined by going through the rankings. So, I will be stating some highlights pertaining to the campus life at BIT Mesra, in general,
- BIT Mesra has an active club culture with more than 60 clubs promoting a number of extracurricular activities
- NIT Rourkela has the 2nd largest campus in India and is a great place to be at.
- The hostel life is also great with minimal restrictions at least for boys.
- The mess is in close proximity to the hostel and the level of hygiene is commendable here. The mess follows a 4-meal per day system wherein Breakfast is served in the morning at around 7 -9.30 am, lunch at 12–1:30 pm, snacks at 5–6 pm, and finally dinner at 8–9:30 pm.
- Many night canteens run till 3 in the morning to cater to the midnight cravings of the students.
- The institute is a heaven for sports lovers. It has facilities for almost every kind of sport like football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, basketball, and kabaddi.
- The internet connection facilities are however poor and this matter needs to be taken care of.
You will be surprised to know that my friends in other NITs keep complaining about the campus life there while I was very satisfied with the quality of campus life offered at NIT Rourkela. So, in addition to academics, NIT Rourkela also offers a vibrant college life!
What happens if a UFM is showing on an AKTU result?
UFM or Unfair Means is when you have tried to use unfair means such as chits, gadgets, or some other mode to score marks in a particular subject. Such a situation can result in many scenarios:

The result will be paused and postponed till the administration takes an action to solve the matter.

Contact your Institute Director. He will ask you to write a letter detailing your viewpoint regarding the offense that has been made against you.

You will write a letter to the Examination Controller of AKTU and tell him why you were caught using unfair means. Send the printout of your semester results along with this letter.

The entire situation will be closely investigated by the UFM committee of AKTU.

There will be two results to their verdict. Either you are guilty of UFM during exams or you are innocent and have been falsely accused through some conspiracy.
While you apply for this process there are some very important points you need to consider:

Apologize to the committee and say you won’t repeat the mistake. If you say you are innocent, you can get Carry Over(CP) in 4 subjects. This will impact your result very poorly.

Don't try to use any source of AKTU staff or any employee to recommend you for pardoning from the UFM case. This might in turn harm the entire situation. Handle the situation according to the process.
