How is the girl's hostel of (MBBS) MAMC Delhi?
Here are some girls' hostels allotted to MBBS students of MAMC Delhi
- Old Girls Hostel (OGH): This hostel has ripple occupancy rooms with decent bathrooms and below-average mess food. This hostel also has curfew timings of around 11 PM.
- New Girls Hostel (NGH): This has been newly made with better and modern faculties and single occupancy rooms with a small balcony. The bathrooms were better in terms of sanitation, hygiene, and water supply. The curfew timings are better and students are expected to come back by midnight. This hostel has a Girls’ Common Room, a nice place for group studying and eating.
- Interns Hostel: This is the worst hostel in terms of construction and building. Most girls are allotted double occupancy rooms and the rest have the same rooms as single-seaters. The rooms were congested with no balconies and ACs were not allowed.
Overall, MAMC girls' hostel facilities aren't very good but you will make a lot of friends there and create amazing memories.
How is the MBA from Delhi Technological University (DTU) ? How are placements?

What is your review of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon?
My review of the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon is fairly objective and is based on my sister's review of the same. I have written a detailed review with elaborate pros and cons that might clear most of your doubts.
Pros
Campus: The campus is in the vicinity of all the dynamic places in Gurgaon like a cyber hub, sec 29, and golf course road. However, inside the campus, the ambiance is exactly different and serene. The infrastructure and campus are extremely beautiful, lush green, and well-built to give you a fairly dreamy experience.
No reservation: Unlike other B Schools, MDI Gurgaon does not reserve seats for minorities or any other groups. So the entire batch is usually 98 percentilers ensuring you avail the best peer learning experience.
Clubs: MDI Gurgaon has the usual clubs as well as the extraordinary ones like Unnati and Illumina Illumina is a disguised market research event, wherein a Diwali mela is organized on the campus. Marketing companies give out projects for market research to students who then create games to do research. Unnati is a fund operated by the students of MDI. Alums and students invest in it.
Faculty: The faculty keeps changing or retiring but the most permanent faculty is Prof. Sanjay Bakshi, who also runs a company called Value Quest.
Placements: The placements are definitely not at or with IIM ABC but are at level with IIM IKL or FMS.
Exchange program: The exchange program is one of the best in the country as almost one-third of the batch gets to visit Europe and get amazing exposure.
Alumni: MDI has its alumni in top positions in the corporate world as well as the startup world. Some of them include Paperboat, Instamojo, Cashify, etc. Some of the alums are in top positions like Amit Boni, who is the head of Motorola India.
Cons
Weak alumni base: The alumni meets are just official meet-ups not many are interested to attend. Only the recent batches meet and no one is interested in strengthening the network.
There are not many flaws one can point to this great Institute as you can see how the pros overshadow the cons and make it a good choice.
Which college is better, IIT Guwahati or IIT BHU?
IIT BHU and IIT Guwahati are well-established and reputed institutions in India. Both of them have pros and cons. If you need to secure your career in a good company, IIT BHU is a good option for you. They are best at placement support and academics, and you will have the advantage of the branch change policy. Let us have a detailed comparison between IIT BHU and IIT Guwahati
Placement Support – The recruiters from major companies mostly give placement to the students from IIT BHU. This institution is renowned for its placement support, and they confirm that they provide effective placement for their students contingent on their caliber in the respective field. At IIT Guwahati, only a lesser number of students got placed in big companies with high-salary jobs when compared with IIT BHU.
Campus – Both institutes offer good campus life to the students. They have good infrastructure and a top library facility. IIT BHU is situated in the center of the city, so you will have easy access to everywhere
Branch Change Policy – IIT BHU has a branch change policy that will allow you to change your branch to CSE after the first year. Only 10% of students with a good CGPA will get the chance to change branches.
Academics – Students are given effective classes conducted by experienced scholars in both institutes. You will be given study materials and have a library facility for more references.
Is DU SOL good?
One of my friends graduated from DU SOL. According to him there are certain things you learn which will be beneficial for your career ahead.
- The important thing is you can get your degree as well as prepare for any competitive exam simultaneously.
- If you need extra lessons, weekend classes are conducted.
- You can also go through King Champion Guides and the last 10 years because it is the best to score good marks.
- CA, CS or CMA with Delhi university B.Com (H) degree will provide you a respectable job and also other similar opportunities.
- They have one of the best alumni networks.
It is suggested that you go for DU SOL only if it's your remaining option. Because some reviews of the placements are not that good, also if you want to prepare for UPSC, do it without getting involved in a college schedule. Though the time is flexible, ultimately it is your choice.
Is Thapar university still good? If yes, then why are its closing ranks higher? If no, then why did it lose its shine?
Thapar University is a good institution. I would like to talk about the three parameters on which one would assess a university and tell you how Thapar is performing in each-
- Placements- Placements are pretty good at Thapar University. If you are among the top performers, you will find yourself placed in a big company. Some of the big companies that visit the campus for placements are- Texas Instruments, Sandisk, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, etc.
- Academics- Thapar is pretty decent academically. Since 2015 it has changed its curriculum. The new curriculum is project-based. In the first year, you will get to learn about Catapult Design and in the second year, you will get to do a Buggy project. This institution offers some unique projects to its students and if you are hungry for knowledge, Thapar University is the right institution.
- Infrastructure- The infrastructure is good and the sports facilities are ample. There are four tennis courts, one football cum race track, one cricket ground, two basketball courts, one volleyball ground and one extra ground to play the sports of your choice. There are 6 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels. The classrooms are good.
Overall, Thapar University is a good institution and it has all the facilities in terms of academics and infrastructure.
Where are you placed after getting an M.Tech degree from IIT Bombay?
You may find inspiration in the story of a student who completed his MTech from IIT Bombay and landed a job in one of the biggest companies, NVIDIA. Is it worth joining IIM Nagpur for 10 Lakhs, considering that IIM Ahmedabad will be mentoring it initially?
If you don’t have a better option and can’t wait for a year more, it’s best to go for IIM Nagpur. Although it’s not among the top IIMs, it will not disappoint you. The main reasons for the same are:

Firstly, IIM Nagpur is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad. So you will get the chance to be taught by IIMA faculty in the same methodology.

IIM Nagpur is located in a well-connected city so has all the basic facilities like connectivity, a local support system, local industry, and safety.

The placements at IIM Nagpur are also good considering the students have been trained by IIMA faculty.
If you are tight on budget then pursuing MBA from IIM Nagpur is not a bad choice.
Should I choose NIT Trichy for CSE or IIT Roorkee for metallurgy? Why?
My brother was in the CSE branch of NIT Trichy and based on his experience, here are a few pointers:
- The professors are extremely learned and experienced and impart quality education
- The relative grading system establishes peer pressure, and as a result, there is tough competition among the students
- IIT Roorkee is well known for its rich coding culture that is promoted by student-driven and institute funded clubs. These clubs give you additional knowledge on web designing, App development, and game development that might be useful later in
- The CSE department is one of the most coveted branches, and being a part of one will inculcate a sense of privilege.
- The hostel and campus life is decent with all necessary amenities.
- A total of 5 fests are held throughout the year and are totally funded and organized by the institute. The institute is located in an area that helps you explore nearby tourist spots like Pondicherry and Ooty.

Do all of the 7 AIIMS take their students for Shimla trip or is it only for AIIMS Delhi students?
Talking about official out-station trips, none of the AIIMS institutions send their students on official out-station trips.
AIIMS Jodhpur sends its students to various inter-college fests, for example, Chiasma (AIIMS Bhubaneswar), and Silhouettes (AFMC, Pune), among others. The same goes for other AIIMS institutions.
Regarding the annual freshers’ trip to Shimla, the trip is planned by the Student Welfare Union of AIIMS Delhi. Thus, it is not an official trip and is organized by a student body. AIIMS Delhi has been in place for a very long time and so while other institutions do not have such a tradition in place, the student body at AIIMS Delhi follows it.
