Does FMS DELHI give any weightage to 10th and 12th marks or the admission is purely based on CAT and PI?

DB
Divjot Bagga Posted On : January 10th, 2023
Studied at the Faculty of Management Studies, the University of Delhi

FMS Delhi is India's most prestigious business school. It is ranked 6th among all B-schools in India. It has a low fee structure and excellent placement. FMS Delhi's average placement is approximately 22 LPA. As a result, students who enrol at FMS can expect an excellent return on investment.

Every year, many students choose FMS Delhi over IIMs because of the high ROI. FMS Delhi doesn't give any weight to academics. You should only be eligible. To get a call from FMS Delhi, you must have a CAT score of 98 or higher. The rest is determined by your GDPI. You can secure your seat by performing well in GDPI.

Is there placements for the quantitative surveying one year course at NICMAR Hyderabad? Is it worth it? What is the scope of it?

PC
Pradipta Chaterjee Posted On : September 16th, 2021
Post Graduation Program Advanced Construction Management,National Institute of Construction Management and Research

Placement for quantitative serving at NICMAR is good. A lot of people get an average package of 6 lakh per annum even though they are fresher. According to the recent placement highlights the highest CTC offered at the institute was 12 LPA. Hence, it is worth it. So, you can definitely choose the course if you want to do quantity serving for most of your career.

Considering all the growth in the infrastructure sector of India, there is a good scope for it and it will go on like this for the next 5-6 years.

QS has been a favorite for almost all the fresh graduates. As it has a better ROI as compared to a full-time two-year course. You should not opt for it as a career just because you like the subject in your engineering syllabus.

It would be better for you to get on a job on-site first. You can work for a year or two and understand the activities that go on around. During this period, you will also understand if you can do a full-time QS job. And then if you are still interested, you can go for it. QS has an unlimited scope with several growing projects in India and abroad so you need not worry about that.

How is the MSc Applied Statistics and Informatics course in IIT Bombay?

AT
Adwait Tejas Posted On : March 17th, 2023
studied Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (2021)

MSc Applied Statistics and Infometrics at IIT Bombay can be challenging for some students who did their B.Sc from Mumbai University, especially if they did not receive sufficient training in statistics. In comparison to Delhi University and Calcutta University, the Mumbai University curriculum is relatively deficient in statistical topics. Consequently, most of the students in the class come from DU and CU. While DU and CU students are often comfortable during the first quarter or half of the semester since they studied similar topics in their bachelor's programs, Mumbai University students may struggle to keep up.

Despite the challenges, this course is in line with current analytics trends in the market. The course requires students to complete not only statistics courses but also intermediate-level computer science courses such as C, C++, Data Structures, and Applied Algorithms. Students also receive some exposure to statistical software, depending on which software the professor prefers: SaS or R.

What is KIIT University's ranking?

SC
Srijita Chowdhury Posted On : July 25th, 2023
B.Tech from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT)

If you are looking for official rankings released by ranking bodies, magazines, and newspapers, then you have come to the wrong place. I dont believe the rank of an institute is the right way to evaluate its credibility and worth. Rank is just a number assigned by magazines and newspapers for advertisement and is often misleading.

I feel it's better to refer to national/international standards for that. KIIT has been awarded 'category A' by MHRD, govt. of India and also enjoys'Tier 1' accreditation for Engineering streams by NBA of AICTE. This is what you call a big achievement and the right portrayal of the institute's image. Despite being younger, it can still be compared to old institutes like KIIT and Manipal.

KIIT provides excellent opportunities even to an average student. The institute focuses equally on both academics and extracurriculars to ensure holistic development. The placement scenario is decent and many big companies like Tata Power, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, JSW Energy, JWIL Infra Limited, Stellantis, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, etc visit the campus.

Overall, the institute is a great choice if you are looking for a vibrant college life and good academics.

I got a 6,800 rank in KIIT. Will I be able to get into computer science?

SM
Suraj Mishra Posted On : July 5th, 2022

You may not get Computer Science with a rank of 6,800. KIIT cutoff for CSE stays around 5000. The 2022 expected cutoff for CSE is 5054. However, your rank will be eligible for other branches such as IT, Electronics, Electronics, and Telecommunication. KIIT offers an option to shift branches after first year. If you maintain a CGPA above 8.5, you can apply for branch change.

Which one is better for a B.Tech, LNMIIT Jaipur or MNIT Jaipur?

Sayantani Barman Posted On : October 9th, 2023

It's highly illogical to compare an institute of national importance namely MNIT Jaipur to an average engineering college in the same city, LNMIIT Jaipur. Here are some key differences between the institutes

  • Campus: MNIT Jaipur has a bigger campus that spreads across 320 acres while LNMIIT operates from just a 100-acre campus area with limited facilities.
  • Location: MBIT Jaipur is located in the heart of the city of Jaipur while LNMIIT is located far away from the city. MNIT students have better access to coaching, hospitals, malls, and other places to hang out.
  • Faculty: MNIT Jaipur is one of the top 5 NITs so definitely has better experienced and learned professors than LNMIIT.
  • Placements: MNIT Jaipur is way better than LNMIIT in terms of placements. Its average package stood around INR 12.43 LPA with many big shots like Adverb, Adobe, Airtel, Amazon, Analytics Quotient (Kantar), and Apple, visiting the campus for placements.
  • Higher studies: MNIT because of its excellent brand name offers excellent opportunities for pursuing higher studies. In fact, many MNIT alumni are currently pursuing MBAs from top B Schools like IIM, IIFT, XLRI, and FMS
  • Alumni: MNIT Jaipur was established in 1963 whereas LNMIIT was established in 2003. The former has a stronger alumni base working as directors in many government organizations and PSUs. Some even joined , private firms or became IAS, IPS, IFS, etc
  • Fees: MNIT Jaipur BTech one year fee is around INR 1.78 Lakhs while LNMIIT Jaipur BTech one year fee is INR 3.75 Lakhs. MBIT has much lower fees and therefore offers a better ROI than LNMIIT Jaipur.

It’s safe to conclude that MNIT Jaipur is incomparable to LNMIIT in any way and ranks better than LNMIIT.

How much marks do I need to get into Rishikesh AIIMS as a general category student ?

SB
Sinjini Bhattacharya Posted On : June 3rd, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh

It is your rank that determines your eligibility to get into any medical college and not your marks. This is because there is a lot of fluctuation in marks every year. So your percentile marks are the deciding factor for your admission and not your actual marks. Here are a few points you should know regarding this:

  • AIIMS releases a list of 1344 eligible candidates who will be selected during the 1st counseling. This list is used till 3rd counseling.
  • Open counseling is held in case there are vacant seats even after 3rd counseling. In this list, candidates with more than 50 percent marks are eligible. So this is where your actual marks come to play.

Here is the AIIMS Rishikesh NEET Cut off that will give you an idea of the rank required to get admission.
