According to the latest guidelines by the institute regarding the MRD Scholarships, you need to be in the top 20% of students of your own section or class for any particular academic year. Then you will be entitled to get a tuition fee waiver of 40% for the next academic year of study at PES University. This is executed on a semester basis.

Now you should also fulfill some other criteria to be eligible for this scholarship. Which are as follows.

  • Your SGPA or Semester Grade Point Average should be above 8.5 for that semester.
  • You should not have been absent in any in-semester assessment (ISA) or end-semester assessment (ESA) exams.

The scholarships would be given after the result declaration and yes it is considered for each branch or section.

How are the CSE placements in SVNIT Surat?

MS

Mukesh Sharma

Like most of the engineering colleges in India, being in the CSE branch can get you better placements as compared to other core branches at SVNIT Surat. My friend is pursuing his B.Tech in CSE final year from SVNIT Surat and he’s currently preparing for his campus placement.

From the past couple of years, the placement record has been quite good with well-reputed companies visiting the campus. These companies include Amazon, Microsoft, Endurance, DeShaw, Oracle., etc.

Check out the following statistics to get a better view of packages offered for the last academic year.

Highest CTC

37.50 LPA

Average CTC

4-7 LPA

Top recruiting sectors

Software, IT

Overall, you can enjoy pretty good placements at SVNIT Surat, and as aforementioned, belonging to the CSE branch has the highest probability of grabbing excellent packages.

Which engineering college is better KJ Somaiya or VESIT?

SN
Somiya Nath Posted On : March 23rd, 2021
B.E Computer Engineering, Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology, Mumbai (2020)

While both colleges are reputed, you should compare a few parameters before making a choice. Here are some of them to help you decide.

Teaching:

Every college has good and bad faculties.

  • From what I heard through my friends at VESIT, there are few faculties that struggle with simple math problems. While some faculties from KJS struggle with simple circuits despite being electronics teachers.
  • I also know about faculties at VESIT, who are actively engaged in research projects that are respected nationally. The same goes for KJS.

Don’t expect world-class teaching from either of these colleges. You will also need to figure out a lot of things on your own. You will also be able to figure out a lot of the study material by yourself. It will be better if you find someone, preferably a faculty to clear your doubts.

Management: (Winning Institution - VESIT)

  • As far as management is concerned, KJS recently attained autonomy so things might be a little disorganized there. At KJS you might expect odd exam schedules and late exam starts.
  • VESIT does not have better management but is definitely a little more organized.

Campus Life:

  • VESIT does not have a very big campus. Moreover, a number of technical and non-technical events go on at VESIT, but it is not comparable with KJS.
  • In terms of crowd, KJS has a relatively chill vibe as compared to people from VESIT. But, clubs are much better at VESIT, e.g. CSI and IEEE. However, KJS also has a number of open events that you can participate in as well.

Placement:(VESIT ~ KJS)

For placements, both the institutes are almost on the same page. Here is a peek into the recent placement highlights of the institutes.

Category

VESIT

KJS

Highest CTC

27 LPA

18.75 LPA

Average CTC

5 LPA

5.55 LPA

Major Recruiters

LTI, Capgemini

Microsoft, Jaro Education, PayU, etc.

KJS offers Mechanical Engineering, which VESIT does not. So, if you want to pursue Mechanical, KJS is a clear choice. The environment at VESIT is more suitable for technical things as compared to KJS. So, choose the institute based on what you expect out of your degree.

B.Com from University of Delhi (2020)

The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM certification) exams and educational programs serve different segments of intermediaries focusing on varied product lines and functional areas.

  • The skills, expertise, and ethics of professionals in the securities markets are necessary for providing effective intermediation to investors.
  • This also helps in increasing investor confidence in market systems and processes.
  • The School for Certification of Intermediaries (SCI) by NISM under SEBI ensures that market intermediaries meet defined minimum benchmarks of required functional knowledge.
  • This is managed through Certification Examinations and Continuing Professional Education Programs on Mutual Funds, Equities, etc.
  • The Nism program at Fincradle assists candidates with internships in derivatives and equity research.
  • They are supported by industry experts from companies like Boston Consulting Group, McKenzie, Crisil India, HSBC, etc.
  • Internships make you industry-ready.
  • The Certification changes quality market professionals and catalyzes greater investor participation in the markets.
  • It provides structured career paths for students and job aspirants in the securities markets.

How much should I score in the JEE Mains 2021 to get CS in LNCT Bhopal?

PD
Priya Duggal Posted On : September 15th, 2021
Bachelor of Engineer Computer Science,Lakshmi Narain College of Technology,Bhopal (2018)

Usually, CS is considered one of the finest branches in almost every college. Therefore, to meet the requirements a person should score well and get their seats reserved in the college.

From the past few experiences, it has been seen that the JEE Mains score matters immensely for your admission, if you are from a general category then your score should be mandatorily more than 80, and if you are from scheduled caste or scheduled tribes then 20-30 marks will also work.

Lastly, we can conclude that to get into the computer science branch in LNCT Bhopal you should be active enough to refer to the previous cut-off so that you can set your targets according to that.

How good is Saveetha School of Engineering Located in Chennai? Which place does it hold among the engineering colleges of India? Is it worth joining?

SG
Sourav Goswami Posted On : May 20th, 2021
Saveetha School of Engineering

A few of my friends studied at Saveetha School of Engineering and they did not have a good experience at the institute. Here are some of their input regarding the institute.

  • The management is not that good and they don’t cooperate well with parents.
  • If you have any quire regarding the institute at the time of admission, it is likely to get ignored.
  • My friend who is a female started from her place at 11 pm and reaches the campus before 6 am because there’s no train/bus after 11 pm. Instead of addressing the transport issue, they did not allow her to enter the campus because the rules say so. At last, she has to sit on-road and wait till the college opening time.
  • The hostel fee structure is increased every year.
  • The only good thing you can get there is placement. No doubt they are good but you can better placements in good colleges with a good environment.
  • According to a few of my friends, most of the experienced faculties left the institute and there is the mostly Fresher staff.

So, it will be better to consider other options for your degree.

How can I crack the JIPMER exam?

RP
Ritwika Patnayak Posted On : October 4th, 2021
Studied MBBS at Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research

The pattern usually followed in JIPMER is quite different from what is generally seen in NEET or AIIMS. Prior to taking the exam, you should become acquainted with the pattern of the exam.

Examination Pattern:

The total mark for the examination is 200. Now, every question carries one mark. There is negative marking so, it is best to attempt questions that you are sure of. Moreover, the exam is conducted on an online basis with about 150 minutes allotted for it in total.

Book Recommendation:

Here are some recommendations you should know, as per following a book.

  • 16 years of JIPMER exam solved papers by Arihant. It can help you in understanding the concepts of the questions
  • NCERT Text Books.
  • It is best to follow D.C.Pandey Objective Physics for Medical Entrance, for physics.
  • R.C. Mukherjee is best for the Physical section of Chemistry.
  • For organic chemistry, you can follow O.P. Tandon
  • For inorganic, you should be extremely familiar with NCERT itself.
  • For Biology, Trueman's Publication is one of the best choices.
  • It is advised that you solve as many MCQS as you possibly can. For similar purposes, you can follow MTG Biology as well.

Solving a total of 200 questions within almost 150 minutes is unbelievably difficult, yet with practice, it is quite probable that you can ace it. For similar issues, it is best to solve Biology in the first go, while keeping English as the second option. Following both, you should complete Chemistry and physics. The last section you should take hold of should be Logical Reasoning.

Prior to the exam, you can take a mock test. It can help you get familiar with the exam pattern. Most essentially, you will be provided with a virtual calculator to attempt every question.

Now, to reserve a seat, you must be in the top 100 since there are only 200 seats. A decent score of 180+ can help you secure a seat.
