Is it true that NIT Jamshedpur is not famous because of its infrastructure?

MP
Mayank Patel Posted On : September 4th, 2023
B.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur

Yes, it's true that the deteriorating infrastructure of NIT Jamshedpur is the main reason it's not famous enough. However, there are many other pros that overshadow this flaw which students often overlook while choosing their institute

  • NIT Jamshedpur is located in the midst of a very big industrial area Adityapur which adds to its infrastructure
  • The workload is quite low and the attendance policies aren’t very strict so you have enough time to relax or pursue your passions.
  • Excellent internship opportunities are offered by the Tata group of companies.
  • The institute is surrounded by the lush greenery of Dalma hills which ensures a pleasant climate throughout the year.

Overall, the poor infrastructure can be overlooked if you focus on the positives of the institute.

MA
Maher Agarwal Posted On : June 21st, 2022
MBA from Xavier School of Management

IIM is certainly a prestigious brand in the management domain. If you have a decent academic record along with a top IIM degree, you can get good placement opportunities.

XLRI is also a reputed name in the management industry, especially in HR. It ranked higher than all management institutes in the country for HR. For sectors other than HR, choose only IIM A, B, or C over XLRI.

Do I need to have a work experience for pursuing MBA from NMIMS Mumbai?

vp
vidya prakhar Posted On : March 13th, 2023
M.B.A. - Marketing, NMIMS Mumbai (Batch '19-21)

If you are wondering whether work experience is mandatory to be eligible for NMIMS Mumbai, the answer is no, it is not. All you need to be (or about to be) is a graduate with a full-time degree of 3 years or more.

While having work experience can give you a slight advantage, as it is a part of the evaluatory component for the final admission score, it only accounts for a mere 5%. So, don't worry too much about it. You can always compensate by performing well in your NMAT and CD-PI rounds.

For your convenience, here are the APPROXIMATE (not official) proportion of the different factors that NMIMS considers for their final admissions:

  • NMAT Score - 70%
  • Personal Interview - 10%
  • Case Discussion - 10%
  • Academic Scores - 5%
  • Work Experience - 5%

As you can see, there is always some space for you to outperform and make up for any concerns you have within these parameters. So, focus on preparing well for your NMAT and showcasing your skills during the CD-PI rounds.

What is the best way to prepare inorganic chemistry for BITSAT?

SS
Sneha Shaw Posted On : January 16th, 2021
Studied at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (2019)

There are different books and methods for different subjects, but if you’re looking for the best way to cover inorganic chemistry then NCERT books will be your key to success.

The main reason to go for these books is that most of the time examiners refer NCERT books only while preparing questions for chemistry section in BITSAT, so thoroughly cover all NCERT books of chemistry to get a good score in relevant section. Only 2 or 3 questions are from outside NCERT, so preparing for the majority of the questions is better, because most of your score will depend on it. Covering NCERT is the best way to score good marks at BITSAT.

  • Dedicate extra time from your time table to topics like Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding
  • Don’t spend too much time preparing p-Block Elements, Biomolecules and electrochemistry as this is too time consuming.
  • Fully cover and practice more for each chemical reaction and formula.

Apart from that there are some important tips which you can follow and dedicate the necessary time on important sections which will help you score more in BITSAT.

How is the CSE branch at MNNIT Allahabad?

Sapna Malik updated Posted On : December 2nd, 2023

My friend studies CSE at MNNIT Allahabad. Through close contact with him over all these years, I find myself eligible to answer your question.

MNNIT intakes students with around 3000-4000 rank in JEE Mains, for its B.Tech CSE program. This shows the quality of the students at the CSE department. The average package for this degree is around 27.57 LPA through campus placements. Top companies like Facebook visit the department and offer around 1.63 CPA to the B.Tech CSE students.

The kind of competition that prevails among the students to get into B.Tech CSE at MNNIT Allahabad, and the high placement records are enough to prove the value of this program, and of MNNIT.

What are the things that a fresher should know before joining B.Tech in Karunya University?

SP
Sharmistha Paul Posted On : September 15th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering ,Karunya University (2020)

My cousin is currently in the second year of his course at Karunya University. This answer is based on his experience as a fresher at the university.

  • The first three months after you join a course at Karunya University would be extremely dreadful. The weather would be extremely pleasant for a few months but this would change after some time and the weather conditions would become harsh.
  • The administration, SRA, and faculty members would behave strictly with the students for the first 3-4 months. I would advise you to obey them or else you can get in trouble.
  • A few marks are allocated to the students based on attendance for the lectures. So, attend classes regularly.
  • Before the commencement of the classes, assemblies are conducted by the university in the auditorium regularly.
  • Ensure that you respect your professors as they can very easily cause a lot of damage to your career.Use of smartphones during lectures is prohibited especially in the presence of faculty members of the university.
  • The university tries to bring light to Christian ideologies and give importance to the Christian faith but it would not feel forcefully executed.

These are some of the things that you should know as a frasher.
