There are several colleges for engineering in Mumbai and Pune, but only a few of them are worth considering suitable. Institutes like IIT Bombay, ICT Mumbai, KJ Somaiya, Dj Sangvi, SPCE, etc are excellent institutes for engineering. Other than that, Pune has even more good engineering colleges than Mumbai. How is Lovely Professional University for Engineering?
My sister completed her BTech ECE from LPU in 2018. She was placed in BSH Bosch Home Appliance in the 3rd year of BTech and she didn't have to study for the 4th year as she got placed early and went for her training.
From her experience, LPU is quite good. I will mention the points in favour of her statement:
1. LPU Placements
Top MNCs and organizations like Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant Technology have visited the LPU campus for placement in the recent years. Students got placed at CTCs of stirking INR 3 crore (Yasir M.) and INR 1 crore, the highest package is INR 42 LPA.
One thing she highlighted was the fact that LPU focused on placement assistance and mentoring. They take soft skills and training classes before the placement season.
2. Internships and Industry Immersion
University offers ‘industry immersion’ facility to the students. LPU has collaborated with major companies and students have gained the experience and exposure by interning in companies like ISRO, Infosys, Microsoft, Cognizant and many more.
3. Campus Facilities
The security measures are strict in the campus. The residential facilities are also good.
4. Academics and Curriculum
Students get to work on live industry-relevant projects. The additional lectures and workshops help students enhance their existing knowledge.
Is there any possibility to clear engineering arrears after the 8 years time in Anna University?
No, the maximum duration to complete your degree in Anna University is 7 years. This includes 4 years in college and 3 additional years for those who are unable to complete their degree within 4 years. But after 7 years you cannot complete your degree.
Before 2017, the students who would fail even after 7 years would get a grace period of 1 year. But this practice has been abolished according to the new regulations.
The decision has made it impossible for anyone who had enrolled before 2011 to clear engineering arrears again.
How good is Sanskriti University Mathura for Engineering?
One of my friends studied at Sanskriti University, Mathura. According to her it has changed and developed her as an individual. They groomed her to be more confident and dedicated towards her goals.
Here are some things that make this university stand out:
- They have a highly experienced faculty. Even if you do not opt for coachings the topics taught by the professors are more than enough.
- The facilities provided here are incredible.
- There is a proper library, labs well equipped with modern machinery for the ease of learning.
- Around 90% of the students got placed. Tata Steel, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Byju’s, Microsoft and many more companies visited the college during the placement program.
- Students got job roles like an analyst, developer, HR trainee, manager, system tester and many more.
- Internship opportunities are great.
- The mess food is good, providing varieties of food items.

Engineering is a very vast field. With the extent of freedom students receive after getting into an engineering college in Hyderabad, they tend to go in the wrong direction and are sometimes even unable to concentrate on their studies as much as is required. If you score less than 10 marks in the viva, then there is a possibility of getting internal KT. But in most cases, the students can easily score marks above 10. Try to answer at least one question in the viva. Otherwise, there is a chance to get internal KT.
How do I get good marks in engineering exam in mumbai university?
For the name correction, follow the steps given below
- Fill out the name correction form, which is available in your college, and get it signed and stamped by the college authorities.
- The next step is to attach the xerox of the mark sheet with the correct name and the xerox of the mark sheet with the incorrect name to the correction form. Don’t forget to highlight the correct name on the Xerox using a marker.
- Go to Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Bhavan at the Kalina campus of Mumbai University.
- Complete the verification process of your documents and submit them.
- Within two months, the correction process will be completed, and the university will send a letter to you regarding this.
How are the placements for engineers with no work experience at the IIMs, FMS Delhi and XLRI?
The two most important factors considered by recruiters during Placements at IIM ABC/FMS/XLRI are
- Brand of UG College - SRCC/Old IITs/BITS/CA
- High Academics - University RankHolders, City Toppers in Boards, or at least Department Rank Holders with 8.5+ in Engineering.
MBA scores are of much importance during Final Placements but are Not available during summer placement.
If you have passed the above criteria, you are most likely to land any job. Still, I have segregated the roles that require work experience and the roles that do not.

- Operations/Supply chain/product management.
- Any role will require work experience if your above 2 criteria are not up to the mark.
Roles that do not require work experience
- Consulting
- Investment Banking
- PE/VC
- Marketing
- Corporate Finance roles
So most of the jobs do not require work experience. Even if they do only non-engineering work experience is of value unless you want to go into Operations/Supply chain/product management.
What is Thapar University's international engineering programme like?
Thapar University's International Engineering program is highly regarded among engineering aspirants. Here are a few highlights pertaining to the course
- B.E. Mechanical Engineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

Is BIT Mesra a good college to pursue engineering?
BIT Mesra is a renowned institution and is particularly known for its B.E. in CSE, ECE, Mech., IT and EEE. The B.Arch department is also good. One of my friends got admission into the Biotechnology department for her B.E. She worked really hard for a year, got a branch change into CSE, and ended up with a job offer from Microsoft. Several companies visit the campus during placements, and a hardworking student can easily get placed in a good company.
The campus is quite big. You will get a single room in the boys' hostel after your first year. Night canteens operate in almost all the boys and girls hostels and remain open till 3-4 a.m. in the morning.
There are several clubs at BIT Mesra which you can join. Another great thing about BIT Mesra is the presence of DC++. It is a network repository. You and your peers can connect to it through a laptop and share content with one another. In this network, you will find all the movies, series, and video lectures.
BIT Mesra is a wonderful college and you won’t regret your decision of joining it for your B.Tech.
