Which is better, 'KJ Somaiya - Electronics engineering' OR 'Vivekanand - Electronics and Telecommunication engineering'?
Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision:
- KJ Somaiya has slowly improved over the years and now is considered much better than Mumbai University (MU).
- Vivekanand is known to keep track of attendance which is not the case with KJ Somaiya.
- If you are considering doing Electronics, you should know that Electronics and Telecommunications has an upper edge.
- The exams at KJ Somaiya are tougher than MU. This is because MU repeats a lot of previous years’ questions.
- You will get a 5 day holiday in MU before a semester paper. At KJ, you will only get a day or two. Therefore, at KJ, your exams will be hectic.
- The semesters end pretty quickly at KJ as opposed to MU.
- MU students only get one month’s leave after a semester ends. For KJ, this leave is for 2 months.
- You can utilize this time to look for internships and other activities that will help strengthen your resume.
- Electronics has a few subjects like digital communication which might overlap with telecommunications.

Both the colleges are even. It will finally depend on where your interests lie and what you would like to do. Find out if you are more interested in telecommunications or just core electronics, then choose accordingly.
Electronics will teach you more about electronic components, circuits and other basic ideas that might be required in general electronics. Telecommunications will only give you a deeper understanding of communication technologies.
What is the average placement package at DTU in CSE?

Is Anna University better than BITS?
BITS is definitely better than Anna University. It has a better brand value and offers excellent placements. BITS Pilani placements 2022 witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.33 CPA. While the average CTC offered was INR 28.99 LPA. Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, etc. are some of the major recruiters that took part in the placement drive.
Although BITS fees are way higher. Anna University courses cost about one-tenth of BITS.
Which is better- IEM in Ms. Ramaiah or EEE in Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering?
After doing some research online, I would suggest not to go for IEM at Ramaiah, until and unless you are extremely interested in studying that particular subject. Since it will not pay you anything and you will eventually wind up in the same category of mass placement at one of the service-based companies.
Double-check the topics you will be studying. EEE is usually less exposed than IEM, yet EEE is regarded as the most complex branch to be studied.
The majority of EEE / ECE / other branches receive job offers from Infosys, HCL, Accenture, or Tech Mahindra.

So, what is the point of learning core Electronics if all you have to do at the conclusion of your engineering degree is code? If you want to build a career, think seriously about the branch you select. Regardless of the institution you attend, I believe EEE is far superior to IEM. Pursue EEE only if you are truly passionate about the subject.
Hows the hostel life at BHU?
BHU offers an enviable hostel life. The hostels are within walking distance from class, library, hospital, playground, gym, and pool. There are 24*7 WiFi facilities available on campus. BHU hostel fees are nominal. Students are required to pay around INR 4500 per year.
Many events and festivals are celebrated in the hostel. What makes the BHU hostel experience more special is the people. You will get to share your experience with people from different social backgrounds. Memories of arranging events together, the adrenaline rush of the night before examination, 2 am walks on the campus, you will get to make many such unforgettable memories.
How different Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies would be if it had a campus like NSIT, DTU, IIT?
Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies is a highly reputed institute and is the dream college for many commerce students. However, it’s a bit lacking in terms of infrastructure and remote location. So if the college gets a campus like NSIT, DTU, and IIT, then it will surely be one of the best colleges in the country as its only flaw will be taken care of.
Many changes will be made in the college if its infrastructure is improved. Events that were earlier held outside the campus will be conducted on the campus itself. Moreover, it will stop receiving the backlash it gets because of its poor infrastructure and become a preferable choice for many.
How are the placements in the NL Dalmia College for an MBA in finance?
NL Dalmia placements are good for MBA in Finance. During 2022 placements Finance was the top sector recruiting students. Students received an average CTC of INR 6.5 LPA. The highest CTC offered in this sector goes up to INR 13 LPA. Some of the major recruiters from the Finance sector are Crisil, HDFC, Amul, City Bank, etc.
What is the minimum percentile to get admission in IIM, Calcutta?
The minimum percentile to get admission in IIM Calcutta is 85 percentile (general category ) in CAT overall. The cutoff for candidates belonging to NC-OBC and EWS categories is 75 percentile.
Other eligibility criteria for admission include class 10th and 12th marks. If you have scored 80% in the same, and 60% above in graduation, you will get all the 40% weightage and for them, the percentile is 99.6. If one has parameters less than required, the cutoff will rise to 99.75.
Try to get maximum marks in CAT and you might be considered for admission into IIM Calcutta.

- The faculty at BHU is very supportive. A tie between Amazon and BHU for sponsored labs on campus has allowed students to be better exposed to current technologies and innovations
- For students who are interested in core domains, there are plenty of companies that visit the campus for core placements, including PSUs
- IT students get great placement opportunities as all big MNCs and fastest-growing startups visit the campus for placements
- IIT BHU’s location makes it desirable. It is located in the spiritual city of Varanasi
- IIT BHU is a very old institution and of which its infrastructure needs plenty of improvement. Also, the hostels are very congested with small rooms
To conclude, IIT BHU is a very old and well-established institution that offers very good placement opportunities and has a good academic curriculum (excellent as per some, decent as per others). However, the infrastructure is very old and needs significant improvement.
What is the true average placement package in MDI Gurgaon?
You should actually stop focusing so much on just average placements. My friend is a pass out of MDI Gurgaon and he says your admission to MDI is more than enough to grant you a high-paying job. So rest assured about that part and focus on what the program is teaching and gain as much knowledge as possible. Some highlights from the glittering life at MDI Gurgaon are
- You meet students from versatile backgrounds and cultures that add to the overall learning experience.
- The curriculum is so rigorous that it prepares you for the worse situations
- The initial months are pretty strenuous and you might find it hard to get a proper sleep
- The much-needed exposure to the corporate world is brought in by industry experts who conduct guest lectures that are very enlightening and interactive.
- Additional exposure is sought through corporate talks, live projects, and tech fests.
- The curriculum is designed in such a way that every student acquires the analytical skills to question and fulfills all the requirements of the corporate world.

All these aspects are as important as placements so considering only average placements is not enough to judge a certain college. Change your primary focus from placements to learning. Being a top 10 school, I am sure MDI Gurgaon won’t disappoint you.
