Choosing a particular college or a department actually depends on you, and how you want to shape your career ahead. Having known some people who study in both these institutions, I can say that they all have their fair share of strengths and weaknesses.
I might not be able to help you select one among them, because they are both good in their own ways. So, I will share some information about them which might help you make the choice.
Categories | Electrical Engineering at HBTU | ECE at IET Lucknow |
Course Fee | 5.17 lakhs | 3.44 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 29 LPA | 18 LPA |
Average CTC | 16 LPA | 8-9 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Phillips, Havells, TCS, Aditya Birla, etc. | TCS, DE Shaw, Barclays, Code Nation, etc. |
It is suggested that you go for the more experienced institute, as it will prove to be better for your career ahead. You will get to learn new skills and take part in seminars and industry visits, to get a slice of the corporate world.
Having known some people studying in these colleges, I can tell you that both colleges are really good in their own ways. But, you should consider the following before you make any decision:
Categories | EE at KJ Somaiya | ETC at Vivekananda (MU) |
Course Fee | 13.50 lakhs | 4.52 lakhs |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA | 9-10 LPA |
Average CTC | 5-8 LPA | 4.5 - 5 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | L&T, TCS, Phillips, Schneider Electric, etc. | JP Morgan, Tata Power, Mercedes, Microsoft, etc. |
Both the colleges are even. It will finally depend on where your interests lie and what you would like to do. Find out if you are more interested in telecommunications or just core electronics, then choose accordingly.
Electronics will teach you more about electronic components, circuits and other basic ideas that might be required in general electronics. Telecommunications will only give you a deeper understanding of communication technologies.
To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.

Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW
However, I would like to tell highlight a few things-
Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality.
They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration.
As you may be aware, KJ Somaiya is autonomous, so the curriculum and coursework are both flexible. Furthermore, the exams will end earlier, resulting in longer vacations that can be used effectively for internships or summer courses. Because of its autonomous status, a large number of companies come to recruit.
If you score 50% overall, you are eligible to apply to all companies. Whatever your field, the same set of companies will come, and if you aren't eligible, you can apply from elsewhere.
Both IIT Madras and IIT BHU are highly renowned engineering institutions in India. The admissions to both of them are conducted through JEE Advanced each year.
Here is a comparison between B.Tech Mechanical at IIT Madras and B.Tech Electronics Engineering at IIT BHU:

The placements for B.Tech Electronics are more promising as evident from the above statistics. But if you are truly interested in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras will offer you an excellent academic environment and tremendous opportunities.
In terms of pursuing electrical engineering, IIT Dhanbad would be the better option. In terms of placement, faculty, ranking, and academic excellence IIT Dhanbad is much better than NIT Calicut. Though both institutions have proven their excellence but few reasons to choose IIT Dhanbad are as follows:

IIT Dhanbad would be an excellent choice for mechanical engineering study, to sum up. With its well-established reputation for ages, qualified teachers, job prospects, and a well-equipped campus. It fosters an environment that is favorable for both academic and personal development.
Here is a detailed analysis of the aforementioned colleges based on some common aspects
Hope you make a wise choice!
Both IIT Guwahati and IIT BHU are highly comparable to each other in terms of academic and professional excellence. However, both have their own unique strengths and weaknesses and my answer will guide you to make the most appropriate choice
Course structure: The course structure of both EE at IIT BHU and ECE at IIT Guwahati is similar and has very few differences.
Infrastructure: IIT Guwahati has better infrastructure because of its later establishment. IIT Guwahati is known for its extremely beautiful campus with rich natural beauty.
