How was your first day at MNNIT Allahabad?
One of my friends has shared his experiences. He traveled by train to Allahabad from Delhi, and after reaching there, his first experience was so disappointing. He thought about how he would survive here in the next 4 years of his study.
- First, he went to the hotel, and then he went to complete the registration process of his admission.
- When he went to the college for the registration process, a positive feeling had haunted his mind after seeing the main building of this institute.
- Registration is a big process, and he had to run from one office to another at that temperature, which made the fading of good feeling. He took lunch in the college canteen, and he said that the food was very good and cheap.
- After completing the entire process, he visited the hostel. The hostel for the first-year student is really good. But he was not permitted to stay in the hostel as the registration process of the entire student was not yet completed.
So, my friend hated the place at the beginning, but after living in this place for 4 years, everyone will love this place. Besides, the student will also get a bag of memories in their 4 years of study.
What advice would you give to a fresher at IIT Kharagpur?
Every person will have a different opinion on what advice work best for freshers. Instead of giving you a list of things to follow, I will suggest you just focus on 3 key points
- Maintain your academics: The primary focus should be your academics and staying at the top of your class. Don’t let your CGP fall below 8 throughout your life at KGP.
- Learn new things: This does not include just DC++, Counter-Strike, or FIFA. Explore new things such as workshops, society interviews, and sports, or take part in different inter-halls.
- Make friends: Surviving in an IIT can be much easier with the right set of friends. To interact with your hostel buddies and make new friends that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Overall, you need a highly positive mindset before joining IIT. You need to be passionate about things and be ready to work hard and achieve them.

- At IIT BHU, old departments like Mechanical, etc. have old machines and lab equipment. But departments like CSE, Mathematics have new buildings, computers, etc.
- IIT BHU also has the advantage of a larger alumni network.
- It offers marginally better placement opportunities in core branches.

Is it compulsory to live in hostel at KIIT?
No, it is not compulsory to stay in the KIIT hostels. You can stay at some place else too. The mess food of the electronics hostel is not good. This is why some of my batchmates have rented apartments for themselves. They can cook, and they have an easy mode of transport like scooty/bike. Moreover, renting is not an expensive option over here. It is affordable.
How are the placements of the Army Institute of Technology Pune?
The placement at the Army Institute of Technology Pune is very good.
- The companies like Oracle, HSBC, Barclays, OFSS, John Deere, Vodafone, Persistent Systems, 3DPLM visit the campus for placements.
- There are 300 students in each batch and almost all the students of the college get placed.
- If you have good and strong knowledge about your core subjects you can also try for off-campus placements at Directi, Microsoft, Saint Gobain, etc.

NTTF recently declared that Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia has offered BE program for its alumni network. The requirements are a diploma qualification, alongside at least 3 years of work experience.
Here are some of the program highlights you must not miss,
- The duration kept for the course is 1 year. Besides, the study materials for several additional subjects, assignments, or assessments would most likely be provided on an online portal.
- You should at least have done one project work, alongside publishing a paper in a recognized journal.
- If you have teaching experience then you must have published at least two papers in an identified journal.
If the requirements meet, you can undeniably be shortlisted.
Which is better, IIIT Delhi or IIIT Allahabad?
It's possible that IIIT Delhi is superior to IIIT Allahabad because of its prime location and excellent faculty and placement statistics.
- IIIT Allahabad is also a National Institute of Importance, but IIIT Delhi is not.
- The coding culture isn't even close to being equivalent; IIIT-D is far superior.
