Is NIT Rourkela good, like NIT Trichy?
NIT Rourkela has very good infrastructure, placements, rankings and facilities. It has a legacy of its own. But it can not be compared with NIT Trichy as of yet. Perhaps a few years down the line, Rourkela will reach the level of Trichy. But as of now, Trichy is the best among all NITs. NIT Trichy has much higher placement stats than NIT Rourkela.
You should choose NIT Rourkela over NITT only if you get a very good branch or a core branch at the former, and a not so good branch at the latter.
Is Panimalar Engineering College good?
If you're planning to attend this college, there are certain things you need to know to survive. While the food and some good faculty members can be helpful, they are quite rare. However, here are some things that you may need to endure:
- Strict Rules: The college has a strict rule against any talk of the opposite sex, even if it's about your siblings or relatives. You can expect to face severe consequences if you violate this rule.
- Formal Dress Code: The dress code is formal for boys, and girls are not allowed to wear leggings or any modern dressing styles.
- Poor Quality of Teaching: The quality of teaching in this college is highly poor. You may pass the exams and even secure a good grade with the notes they provide, but the knowledge you gain is minimal.
- No Respect for Human Rights: All forms of human rights are thrown out the window. If you have a beard, you will face discrimination and may be ostracized.
- No Value for Student Curiosity: The college does not value student curiosity or enthusiasm. You may find yourself struggling to find opportunities to explore your interests.
- Industrial Visits for Namesake: Industrial visits are just for the sake of it, and you may not gain any real-world knowledge or experience.
- Symposium and Conferences for Namesake: The same applies to symposiums and conferences. They are only conducted for the sake of it and may not be beneficial in terms of learning.
- Co-education for Namesake: The college claims to be co-educational, but in reality, it may not be. You may not find many opportunities for interaction with the opposite gender.
- No Scope for Research: Research opportunities are minimal, and you may find yourself redoing existing projects repeatedly, which can be pointless.
In summary, while you may get an engineering degree in your respective field, you may not be able to become an engineer inside this campus.
What is the total cost of studying a two year PG course at NICMAR Pune?
I have a few friends who graduated from NICMAR Pune. Here is a brief breakdown of the cost of studying at NIMAR based on the information I got from my friends.
- Tuition Fee: For 2 years of PG course the tuition fee will be around 10.59 lakhs.
- Hostel Fee: Hostel accommodation will cost around 10,000. You will have to stay in the hostel for 18 months so the total cost for hostel accommodation will be around 1.80 lakhs.
- Other Expenses: You will need around 5,000 per month for your other expenses. This will sum up to 1.05 lakhs over 2 years.
- Travel Expenses: If you are not from Maharashtra, you will go home and back 4-5 times a year. It will cost around 1 lakh over two years.
This should give you an estimate of the costs.
Is Amity university Mumbai good for psychology?
Yes, it is a good option for psychology. The Amity University campus in Mumbai has some really decent faculty within the psychology department. As a psychology student, you will get a number of assignments, various regular practical sessions as well as other research activities. All these are carried out throughout the year so you will definitely be kept busy.
- A small drawback is a fact that the campus is located away from the city, so you might not have hip hangout spots to explore.
- Another thing is that engineering students have some subjects in common with other branches i.e. one branch might have subjects of the other that could be interrelated to one another. However, this is not the case with the Psychology course. You will not have to struggle with this issue.
- A plus point is a fact that all courses have another additional 3-year course known as a Minor track. Here, you can select a field you’d like to explore other than the one you plan to major in. In my opinion, you should definitely join Amity University Mumbai. You will have a great time here and you will be able to explore this field in a greater depth as well.

Thapar University is better. It offers better facilities. Thapar alumni network is spread all across the world. The networking opportunities are ample. More recruiting companies visit Thapar University placements. A total of 361 took part in the 2022 placement. The average CTC offered during this year's placement drive was INR 10.97 LPA.
What is the lowest undergraduation percentage to get into IIM Ahmedabad or old the IIM?

However, I will advise you to not concentrate on these trivial facts. Prepare well and give your best in CAT.

Which college is best for doing master's in structural engineering? CEPT university, Nirma or SVNIT Surat?
SVNIT is theoretical research-based while CEPT is more practice-oriented. If you are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. further or if you would like to get placed on-campus, then SVNIT is your place.
After matching your requirements focus on excelling at GATE to get structural engineering getting into structural engineering at SVNIT.
If you choose CEPT then you will have to work hard to get a job. It is well known in all of Asia and has one of the best civil engineers. The faculty is highly qualified, its alumni are working in MNCs and most of them get annual trips abroad.
Lastly, if you are not from Ahmedabad you will have to stay at the CEPT hostel which is an awesome place to stay, as you will see for yourself if you so choose to be.
Be mindful of the fees because both SVNIT and Nirma charge more about the quality they provide.
