Yes, it is a good option for psychology. The Amity University campus in Mumbai has some really decent faculty within the psychology department. As a psychology student, you will get a number of assignments, various regular practical sessions as well as other research activities. All these are carried out throughout the year so you will definitely be kept busy.

  • A small drawback is a fact that the campus is located away from the city, so you might not have hip hangout spots to explore.
  • Another thing is that engineering students have some subjects in common with other branches i.e. one branch might have subjects of the other that could be interrelated to one another. However, this is not the case with the Psychology course. You will not have to struggle with this issue.
  • A plus point is a fact that all courses have another additional 3-year course known as a Minor track. Here, you can select a field you’d like to explore other than the one you plan to major in. For Psychology students, these options include English literature, European studies, Management, Human rights, and Embedded systems. While management possibly has limited seats, you can definitely choose from any of these options.

International Collaborations:

  • Additionally, the university is also in works with the University of South Carolina for partnering on a student exchange program.
  • You will also find a number of psychology books for your referrals in the library, albeit they are not present in large numbers.
  • You will often find yourself conducting surveys, carrying out research, writing research papers, participating in flash mobs, and many other activities throughout the year.

In my opinion, you should definitely join Amity University Mumbai. You will have a great time here and you will be able to explore this field in a greater depth as well.
