Which is a better choice, SPJIMR Mumbai or IIM Lucknow?
Every college has its own list of features that makes it stand out among others. But what matters is which of those aspects aligns with your interests and conveniences. So to facilitate a better decision, I have listed the pros of both colleges.
SPJIMR Mumbai
Location: Located in the center of Mumbai, it enjoys a location advantage over IIM Lucknow. This makes it easier for students to avail opportunities and recruiters to visit the campus regularly.
Low batch size: It has a lower batch size in comparison to IIM Lucknow which means every student is well attended to and the competition is also not that tough.
Marketing: It’s the marketing capital of India with the most reputed marketing firms visiting the campus.
Exposure: It offers a rural stint and international exposure for every student which exposes them to the diversity of the course.
IIM Lucknow
- Infrastructure: In reality, the campus life, infrastructure, and faculty of IIM Lucknow can never be compared to SPJIMR.
- Better crowd: The crowd at IIM Lucknow is much more diverse and talented than SPJIMK because of its rankings and brand image.
- Domain: IIM Lucknow excels in the domains of Consulting, Finance, and General Management, and the respective firms visit the campus regularly.
- Specialization: At IIM Lucknow you get to choose your domain after a year once you have been exposed to all the domains and have identified your interests.
- IIM tag: Once can never boast enough of the IIM tag he will be carrying with himself for the rest of his life.
Weighing the pros of both the colleges make your decision based on which pros you are keen to avail the most.
What should I prefer, electrical or electronics and telecommunication at NIT Raipur?
For an Institute like NIT Raipur, both the branches of electrical or electronics telecommunication are worth taking. Below mentioned are some points about the branches which may help you in making a decision.
- Both branches hold good placement statistics. Core companies usually opt for the electrical branch students while software-based companies go for the students of the electronics and telecommunication branch.
- The Department of Electrical branch has a decent reputation in college as this is a core branch which follows all the discipline and regulations.
- IES is open for the students for both the branches and thus choosing any one branch is no less than the other.
- When it comes to academics and scoring well; the students of both branches are exceptionally good. Ms. Jaya Jha from the Electrical branch and Mr. Shivam Singh of Electronics and Telecommunications bagged AIR-1 in Graduate Aptitude Test.
You can’t go wrong with any of these two choices, so choose the branch that interests you more.
Which is better, IIIT Bhopal or IIIT Sonepat?
As many of my friends have graduated from IIIT Bhopal. So I can assure you IIIT Sonepat is more secure and better than IIIT Bhopal in terms of campus lifestyle, placement opportunities, academic performances, and sports activities, and a lot more.
Campus:
- Recently IIIT Sonepat has been shifted to IIT Delhi Technopark, Sonepat which is nothing but an extension campus of IIT Delhi in Sonepat.
- On the other hand, you will find IIIT Bhopal is still running in MANIT, Bhopal. Even its permanent campus is way farther than the developed part of the city.
- The hostels for the 1st-year students of the IIIT Bhopal are provided in RGPV Bhopal which is 13 km away from MANIT. Consequently, students are driven by bus to the campus, which is quite a waste of time. This is why my friends say hostel life is not that good in IIIT Bhopal.

Placements:
This year IIIT Sonepat holds a good record in placements by bringing a decent amount of companies. Recording the highest package of 23.84 LPA and an average package of 6.44 LPA.
Whereas in IIIT Bhopal the first batch would pass out in 2021 till then nothing could be said about the placements. Meanwhile when there would be a permanent campus of IIIT Bhopal and the placement records would be available the things might be the other way around.
Between an M.Sc chemistry in BITS Hyderabad and CSE in VIT, which is better?
Based on mine and my friends’ experiences, here are some points I would like for you to consider in this regard-
- The branch should always be your top priority. For a dual degree in CSE at BITS Hyderabad, you’ll need to score more than 7.6 CG. That would mean an average +30 in most subjects (relative grading). Phoenix Dual is a better option than VIT CSE.
- Dual degree will take away a lot from your campus life. You won’t be able to enjoy clubs and events to the fullest.
- BITS Hyderabad undoubtedly has a better crowd quality. Moreover, it carries the prestigious ‘BITS’ tag.
- BITS will give you a more quality campus experience with better academics.
The decision has to be made by you, but I hope that these points will guide you. Whatever you choose, make sure to maintain a good academic performance in college, so that you end up getting decent job offers.
In comparing NITIE, Mumbai and IIM, Lucknow, which one is better in all aspects?
In a simplified way, it is often said that IIM Lucknow is better and a lot of factors are in favor. However, both NITIE and IIM Lucknow have their fair share of advantages.
- NITIE is comparably old and has a strong and wide alumni base. And as a student, the alumni base of any college helps immensely.
- NITIE has a tag of “Mecca for OPS and SCM”. The students in NITIE get job roles in OPS and SCM which sometimes aren't even offered in the big 3 IIMs as per their alumni. So if you are interested in OPS or SCM then they should opt for NITIE. NITIE is a far better choice for Operations and SCM in terms of the course fee, placements, environment, etc.

Which one is better: BITS Jaipur or LNCT Bhopal?
LNCT Bhopal is a better option. When appearing for the placement interview from BIT Jaipur, you will have to compete with students in a large number as pooled placement takes place and students from all the BIT are allowed to appear for that.
While LNCT offers good placements. According to the recent highlights, the average CTC offered is 3-8 LPA. In 2020 Microsoft offered the highest CTC of 27 LPA.
On the other hand, if you are comparing BITS Pilani and LNCT Bhopal then without any second thoughts, Pilani is the answer. In order to get admission there, you should be able to crack their entrance exam (BITSAT) and it takes great effort.
Which one should be opted, Tapmi PGDM or XIMB HR, in terms of placement?
It seems you are unsure about the branch you are interested in. Both PGDM and HR are diverse branches and one needs to first determine the field they are interested in only then they can make a sound decision.
If you are interested in HR, then choose XIMB HR without any second thoughts. It's the best HR program in the country. However, it's important to note that in this field your academics and profile building matter more than anything. Xavier School of HRM will provide ample opportunities for you.
An MBA in HR requires you to scale up for which you need a better skill set and a better learning experience that you can get at XIMB and not Tapni. However, if you are unsure of your interests, go for a PGDM in Tapmi.

Should I prefer IEM Kolkata IT or Heritage institute technology ECE?
IEM Kolkata IT will be comparably better. Although IEM has pretty strict rules in place, it offers better opportunities in terms of academics and placements. According to the stats of recent IEM placements, each year around 90% of students get placed each year from IT. The highest CTC for the branch is INR 40 LPA.
Heritage Institute of Technology is a good option, if you want to pursue research or MS, further.
Which college is better for CSE, SVVV Indore or LNCT Bhopal?
I have a few friends from LNCT and based on the reviews I got from them, I will suggest you choose the institute if you have the option.
LNCT Bhopal is considered to be among the best colleges for higher education in central India. It is a great option if you wish to pursue a course in the domain of Computer Science.
The college is popular among the student communities for the infrastructural facilities and placement it offers to its students. Each year, around 1000 companies visit the campus of the college to recruit students for various job profiles. Approximately 95% are placed in reputed companies through the on-campus recruitment drive organized by the college every year.
Some of the top recruiting firms that hire students on-campus at LNCT are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, L&T, and Infosys.
How is Amrita University for an MTech in embedded systems? Which campus should I prefer between Coimbatore & Bangalore?
I know some people from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham so I think I can give you some idea about it.
M.Tech in Embedded Systems is a great course. As far as the choice between Bangalore and Coimbatore campuses is concerned, then without any doubt, Coimbatore campus is better between the two. Here are some details about the campuses.
Coimbatore Campus:
- This course is offered by the Electrical and Electronics department. So if you are an electrical graduate, then it is better for you.
- The department has very good lab facilities. There are various development boards and robotic kits which will help you increase your skills.
- The faculty are very helpful and will help in every way both academically as well as publishing in your journals.
Bangalore Campus:
- Here the course is offered by the Computer Science department. So if you are a CS graduate, then it is for you.
- The labs, teaching experience, facilities, research opportunities, and exposure to the industry are also very good.
Considering all the points and knowing that Coimbatore is the original and the oldest campus of the two, the preference of the campuses should be Coimbatore.
