Which is the best university in Kashmir, Kashmir University or Cluster University?
I have a few friends from both universities and according to their reviews, Kashmir University is definitely the best in Kashmir. Especially for the non-management courses. The quality of academics at the institute is unparalleled.
Although the business school is treated as the crown of the institute there is a lack of entrepreneurial minds and placement opportunities. This is the only reason the university lags behind for management courses. However, other streams like Engineering, Medical, Arts, Humanities, Computer Science are great.
The campus is located at the heart of Srinagar, near the famous Dal Lake. The campus is green and has urban infrastructure. Overall, the University of Kashmir can be a great option for pursuing your course.
Which is better for a B.Tech: Manipal University or Jadavpur University? Why?
According to the NIRF ranking, Manipal University was ranked 14th out of 200 for overall and 8th out of 200 for The Top Universities in India. It is also ranked as 2nd overall in the state of Karnataka. Whereas, Jadavpur University was ranked 17th out of 300 for B.Tech courses in India 2020 and 1st in Kolkata for B.Tech.
BTech Courses:
- B.Tech in Manipal University is offered in 17 streams, namely CSE, ME, ECE, EEE, IT, CE, Aeronautical Engineering, Data Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering, Computer and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial and Production Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Media Technology.

Admissions:
Manipal University:
- The eligibility requirement is to pass 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English as the compulsory subjects. Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / any technical vocational subjects should be the optional subjects. Also must have attained a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board.
- The admission is through MET. The 1st year course fee is around Rs.3.35 Lakhs.
Jadavpur University:
- The eligibility requirement is to pass 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Also, aspirants must have attained a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board.
- Students are also required to qualify for JEE MAINS/ JEE ADVANCE/ WBJEE.
- The 1st year course fee is Rs.2,400.
Placements:
Manipal University:
- The highest package offered was INR 27 LPA, whereas the median salary was INR 6.2 LPA.
- 80-85% is the placement rate of the University.
- Some of the top recruits are Forbes Marshall, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Cipla, Hero Moto Corp, Maruti Suzuki, INFOSYS, Intel, etc.
Jadavpur University:
- 100% is the placement percentage of the students at the university.
- The highest package offered was INR 42 LPA, whereas the median salary was INR 19.96 LPA.
- Top recruits are Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Reliance Industries Limited, ITC, L&T Infotech, Cisco, Britannia Industries, Honeywell, Pepsico Pvt Ltd., Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Snapdeal, Infosys, Capgemini, etc.
The city life of both places is totally different. So the aspirant can choose what suits him/ her better. Jadavpur University consists of more number of well qualified B.Tech faculties for the students as compared to Manipal University. By looking at the above data the student can take their own decision regarding which is better for them.
Which is better IIT Guwahati CSE or IIT Delhi EE or IIT KGP CSE 5yrs?
In my opinion, an IIT KGP CSE dual degree is a better option than IIT Guwahati CSE. Here’s why
- You get an additional degree in just one or two years
- You don’t have to sit for another entrance exam like GATE
- Companies that open profiles for BTech also open the same profiles for Dual Degree students.
IIT Guwahati is also a good option for CSE. However, one should opt for IIT Delhi EE only if
You are confident that one will be able to change branch within a year. This is because you will end up studying CS courses with external coaching.
To secure a job, the best options are CSE or MBA. For MBA, your branch does not really matter, only your institute does.
Which college is better, PSIT Kanpur or MPEC Kanpur for the CSE branch?
For CSE, PSIT Kanpur is the better option.
- It has a well-designed course curriculum.
- The infrastructural facilities offered are decent. CSE department has industry-sponsored labs - IBM Software lab, HP Center of excellence, Microsoft Innovation Center, etc.
- PSIT is better recognized in the Kanpur region, compared to MPEC.
- Big tech companies such as L&T, Infosys, IBM, etc. take part in PSIT Kanpur placement.
- For CSE, the placement rate is around 80%. The highest CTC offered to the branch is INR 21 LPA.

Which is the better choice, IIIT Sri City or IIEST Shibpur for civil engineering?
Here IIEST Shibpur will be a better choice for civil engineering as it is one of the oldest civil engineering colleges in our country and has improved a lot since its inception.
Batch Size:
One of my friends goes to IIEST, according to him the Civil Department has more than 100 students in a single batch.
Faculty:
The faculty of the civil engineering department is experienced, knowledgeable, and are highly qualified. They are great at teaching the concepts and are nice and friendly too. However, faculties sometimes tend to use Bangali while teaching, which is difficult to follow for out-of-state students.
Campus Life:
The campus is also very beautiful and the lifestyle at college is very lively. The hostel also provides many services and a student can decide the menu for their lunch and dinner.
Collaborations:
IIEST Shibpur has collaborations with the following institutes.

- Hokkaido University
- University of South Wales
- Zurich University
- California University
- University of Cambridge
So, you can definitely choose IIEST Shibpur for Civil Engineering. But for placements don’t depend entirely on the institute.
Which is better SRM Vadapalani or JUET Guna?
SRM Vadapalani is any day better than JUET Guna. After discussing with some students of these colleges, I can say that, even though JUET has an amazing placement record and infrastructure, SRM has a bigger brand value than the Jaypee group.
- SRM has highly qualified faculties with few of them having prior industrial experiences. They strive to keep the environment of SRM highly competitive.
- You will definitely get a better crowd at SRM where there is a high level of peer-to-peer learning when compared to JUET.
- Placement statistics of SRM speak for themselves.
- Even in location, academic curriculum, and campus infrastructure wise SRM leads the list.
- The only factor that favors JUET Guna is if you don't prefer to study down south on SRM main campus.
- In that case, you can still opt for CSE at JUET which has a decent placement. The average CTC there stands at 11 LPA. But it's not the same in the case of other branches.

Which one is better St Joseph College Trichy Madras Christian College Chennai or PSG Arts and Science College Coimbatore?
One of my friends studied at SJC College Trichy. He completed his Post Graduation in Botany from this college. He is still proud of his time as a student at SJC. Here are some facts about the college you should know.
- In the entire state of Tamil Nadu, there were just five colleges that offered a PG course in Botany. Among these colleges, SJC college was the first to offer a postgraduate course in Botany.

The CSE department of JSSTE is accredited by NBA and has been collaborating with many reputed research institutes and IT industries. They provide a conducive environment to carry out research and education together.
The department at three of these engineering colleges can be characterized by faculty staff, laboratories, and placements.
Faculty
- The faculty members of JSSATE and NITTE Meenakshi University are better than BVBCET.
