Which is better, Galgotia Noida or PSIT Kanpur?

SM
Sushmita Mondal Posted On : January 20th, 2021
Studied at Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2019)

You should prefer PSIT Kanpur as it is the fastest growing engineering college in north India in terms of faculty and placements.

Delhi NCR colleges won’t fetch you good job opportunities. However, studying in PSIT Kanpur will be a better option. In the 2020 placement drive 250 companies participated offering 1480 jobs to eligible students across all departments.

What should I opt for, an ECE at UIET Chandigarh or a CSE at CCET?

HK
Harpreet Kaur Posted On : May 28th, 2021
B.E Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, Chandigarh College of Engineering a

If you are eligible for both streams, it is important to keep in mind that both are tier 2 colleges. According to my friends at the institutes, these colleges don’t see many core companies in the campus placement even for the CSE branch. Most of the recruiting companies are IT consultancies or Tech Support.

Hence, if you opt for ECE in UIET you will probably end up working in Deloitte or Infosys, or MU-Sigma. Therefore, it is advisable to stay close to the main campus of PU. This will also help you in enjoying your college life to the fullest.

While on the other hand, if you are passionate about coding and want to become a software engineer, then UIET and CCET, both see various kinds of young startups that recruit Software Developers as well as Designers. If this is the case, you must opt for CSE in CCET as a lot of subjects that are required for software development are not taken up in ECE because of PU’s curriculum, for example, AI, Data Structures, DBMS are considered only in CSE but not in ECE.

Which is better NIT Agartala or HBTI?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 18th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

One of my friends dropped out of HBTI only to join NIT Agartala EIE. Later he changed his branch to CSE and claimed it to be the best decision of his life.

  • NIT Agartala has a better brand image and reputation among industries because of the NIT tag and the status of the Institute Of National Importance.
  • It has a more modern and advanced infrastructure than HBTI because it's funded by the central government.
  • HBTI has slightly better faculty but that isn't a big issue because, in the end, you have to study on your own.
  • Hostel life is fun because you make friends from all over the country whereas HBTI is mainly students from UP.
  • You can enjoy a more pleasant climate and lush green surroundings.
  • The placements are obviously better than HBTI given the fact that it's a centrally funded institution.

So, go ahead and choose NIT Agartala without any further hesitation!

Both Kongu Engineering College and KSR Engineering College are good and decent options. They are exceptionally well and equal in terms of lab facilities, bus facilities, infrastructure, and sports facilities.

  • In terms of academics, Kongu Engineering College has made it in this round.
  • The faculty and the level of students at Kongu are the best and they are all knowledgeable and experienced.
  • The students of Kongu Engineering College have much more freedom in all senses than a student of KSR.
  • KSR provides free bus facilities.

Which is better: NPTI or ECE at Heritage Institute of technology in terms of placement?

SG
Sauvik Guha Posted On : September 3rd, 2021
National Power Training Institute (2020)

I have a few friends from the National Power Training Institute (NPTI). Based on the conversations I had with them, I can give you some insight regarding the institute.

  • NPTI is started by the Power Ministry of Government of India and a student from there can get jobs at thermal power plants or related sectors such as distribution, boiler manufacturing, etc.
  • However, in recent years, the government has started pushing renewable energy aggressively and newer thermal power plants are not coming up at the same pace as they used to a few years back. This narrows down your scope of placement after studies.

So choose the course you want to do keeping your interests in mind along with the future scope of the industry in consideration.

Which is the better college between GD Goenka and Sharda University for law?

NS
Nisha Suri Posted On : July 9th, 2021
B.B.A. LL.B. (Integrated) from Sharda University (2021)

A few of my friends pursued law from GD Goenka and Sharda University. Here are some tips that might help you. I'll try my best to answer your question by covering more and more parameters I can. These include -

  • Infrastructure – The infrastructure of both the universities is good in their aspects. But, that doesn't matter a lot as both of them are approximately on par with each other.
  • Location – Sharda University is situated in the city of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh while on the other hand, GD Goenka University is situated in the city of Gurugram, Haryana.
  • Fee structure – The total fees at Sharda University is 8.86 Lakhs while at GD Goenka is 10.35 Lakhs
  • Academics – Both are mostly at par with each other.
  • Placements – If you have interned under any of the top or good law firms of India having passion or enthusiasm then you will surely be landed on one of the best platforms.

Conclusion –

  • If you seriously want to study in a good law school having a studious environment then appear for law entrance exams and crack them wisely that would make you eligible for NLUs.
  • Suppose you do not crack the entrance exam on your first attempt then take a year drop and try in the next year by preparing hard.

It depends upon you how hard you are working for your career. If you are seriously working hard for your career then your future is certain despite your law school, whether government or private. So, choose wisely and work on your CV.

Which college is better for a B Com hons Shyam Lal College or Sri Aurobindo?

Sp
Shreya palit Posted On : September 30th, 2021
B.Com in Accounting and Taxation at Shyam Lal College (2021)

I have a few friends from both Shyam Lal College (Delhi) and Sri Aurobindo. Here is what you can expect from the institutes.

Shyam Lal College (Delhi):

  • Infrastructure: The institute is not the best if we focus on its infrastructure and amenities, as per the requirements of the students. The washrooms are typically not in their best condition, unlike other institutes as well. However, the food quality of the canteen is favorably above average.
  • Placements: As per the reports, only about 40% to a maximum of 45% of the entire strength secure placements. The average salary package witnessed until now can range anywhere between INR 4 - 6 Lacs per Annum (LPA).
  • Faculty: On a brighter note, the faculty members of the institute are undoubtedly exceptional.

Sri Aurobindo College:

  • Educational prospects: Sri Aurobindo College is quite good for the commerce department.
  • Placements: Several top-tier companies visit the campus during the placement season, for instance, E&Y being one huge name among many others. In addition, students also secure the opportunity to study offshores, if their criteria meet, as per the rules of collaboration with companies. The placement cell equally contributes to helping students achieve their goals, with securing almost 80% of the placement percentage and an average salary package touching about INR 4 - 5 Lacs Per Annum.
  • Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the institute is not as commendable as the other factors. However, the laboratories are quite good, with several pieces of equipment ready for use. Alongside that, the WiFi facilities are exceptional as well.

As per what you have read, it is now upon what your decision looks like. Make an informed decision.

Should I choose AIIMS Madurai or PGIMS Rohtak?

SS
Shridhar Sriraman Posted On : October 3rd, 2023
Lives in Pondicherry, Puducherry, India

I will always recommend you to choose PGIMS over AIIMS Madurai mainly because PGIMS is a very old Institute established as early as 1959 while AIIMS Madurai is a new college and will take time to establish itself. Moreover, students of AIIMS Madurai have to study along with students of Ramanathapuram Medical College.

So, I will suggest you not to run behind the AIIMS tag.
