It depends on what you envisioned for your future. IEM Kolkata will be more affordable. But you will not get world-class facilities and exposure as LPU. LPU is better if you come from a sound financial background. The quality of education and exposure in an international institute is obviously much better than a local institute.

My mother is a teacher at LPU. So I am quite aware of the facilities, infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

The final decision, however, is on you. I know many people from CSE LPU. Almost every one of them is well settled in India and abroad. The demand for a skilled software engineer is also high in the international market.

IEM is a decent institute too. If you want to know more about the institute reach out to the current students or the alumni of the institute.
