Should I go for SMS Medical College, Jaipur or for AIIMS Raipur (or maybe AIIMS Rishikesh)?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : November 15th, 2022
Junior Resident in Dept of Orthopedics at ESIC MODEL HOSPITAL PHULWARISHARIF, PATNA.

It is recommended that you enroll in SMS, Jaipur. The following are the benefits of SMS over AIIMS:

1. Old and well-established.

2. A higher patient load compared to non-Delhi AIIMS.

3. Arguably superior facilities.

4. You will have a state quota for the PG entrance exam, which is unquestionably important.

In terms of clinical exposure and teachers, SMS Jaipur far outperforms any of the new AIIMs.

Does GIM,FORE,KJ Somaiya & SIBM-Bangalore provide 100% placement? What is the lowest, highest, and average package offered from these B-Schools in the last few years? Which one will be the best to join?

GIM, FORE, KJ Somaiya, and SIBM Bangalore offer 100% placement support to the students. It is a bit grim to figure out the lowest packages as they do not provide exact information. In fact, none of the colleges could guarantee a job from their side; instead, they could assure plenty of opportunities. The aptitude, capacity, and performance in the interview play a chief role.

Let us have a deeper look at SIBM Bangalore-

Many giant recruiters approach the college every year, and most of the applicants get placement in the first half of the academic year. The technological advancement in the classrooms, student-centric learning process, skilled and capable scholars, strong alumni network, and international links make SIBM one of the leading management institutes in Bangalore.

Based on these facts, you can choose SIBM Bangalore. Whatever decision you make, choose wisely.

Which one is better NCFM or NISM? Are they meaningful? Why or why not?

SG
Senjuti Gupta Posted On : October 29th, 2021
B.Com from University of Delhi (2020)

NCFM and NISM, both certificates are at par with each other. The basic difference among the certificates is that NCFM is organized by NSE (National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.) and NISM is conducted by SEBI (Securities Exchange Board of India).

  • Both these certificates have different categories of modules specializing in mutual funds, derivatives, interest rates, equity research, technical and fundamental analysis, etc. You can do either of the two certifications, based on what domains are available as per your interest.
  • NCFM started with the objective of spreading financial literacy at a basic level for every individual. While NISM is a mandatory requirement for anyone who wants to begin their career in security markets in India.

NCFM and NISM certifications are definitely meaningful. These will help you improve your knowledge in finance as well as add points to your resume.

What is better in IIIT Hyderabad, Mtech or MS?

AC
Anupama Chauhan Posted On : August 3rd, 2023
studied at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad

For placements, M.Tech is better than MS. This is because of the huge number of SDE jobs in India. To get good job offers, MS students must devote extra time to practice coding and problem solving.

In terms of exposure, MS is a better course. MS students at IIIT Hyderabad work with cutting-edge technologies and are in touch with the latest developments in their field. For this kind of exposure, M.Tech students need to devote extra time in doing relevant projects.

For Ph.D. aspirants, the research value at a global scale is more for the MS course. In this respect, M.Tech students can either convert to MS after a year or publish relevant research papers for paving their path into the area of research. The faculty is the same for both the courses at IIIT Hyderabad.

Thus, based on your preferences you can either choose M.Tech CSE or MS in CSE in IIIT Hyderabad. It is a renowned institution and will open numerous doors for you after your degree.

How is MD Medicine from AIIMS Jodhpur compared to other well-known institutes of India like VMMC Sardarjung, MAMC, KEM, and BJMC (Ahmedabad)?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : June 8th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

AIIMS Jodhpur launched its PG course in various clinical branches in 2017 and has been providing excellent training and research opportunities ever since then. The patient load is also very satisfying and enough clinical exposure is offered.

However, AIIMS Jodhpur MD Medicine is specifically not well established so you need to check before coming here.

  • Their GM department has only two assistant professors right now. The department is filled with senior residents mostly.
  • The patient load in this department is very low in comparison to other well-established colleges like MAMC, VMMC, etc.
  • AIIMS Jodhpur lacks the necessary assistance provided by the seniors

Ultimately it’s best to go for MAMC or VMMC compared to AIIMS Jodhpur if you are specifically targeting MD Medicine.

Between Ashoka University and Krea University which is a better option for UG in Liberal Arts?

CV
Chinmaye Veluthoor Posted On : October 14th, 2021
Studies Economics at Ashoka University (2022)

Krea University is a newly established university, students tend to have their doubts while opting for it. Ashoka University on the other hand is a well-known esteemed university and is a brand tag in itself resulting in a huge number of aspirants.

Academics:

  • The students of Ashoka University have been the aces for a long time.
  • The Social Science department (Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology) is often compared to Delhi University’s Social Science department which is a huge achievement.
  • Their Computer Science course is exceptional and has been approved by the University of Pennsylvania’s CiS.
  • The environment at Ashoka is lively and competitive.

Faculty:

  • The academics in both the universities are similar but Ashoka University has better and higher qualified faculty with numerous research papers to be credited for.
  • They have full-time professors who are helpful and cooperative.

Location:

  • The distance of the university from your residence is a huge determining factor.
  • Krea University is two and a half hours away from Chennai City and Ashoka University on the other hand is over an hour from Delhi.
  • It is a known fact that Delhi has better transport facilities therefore traveling and transport facilities are not much of an issue.
  • Krea University is located in a remote place and the only transportation available is by bus from Chennai.
  • Students who would choose comfort over education would rather strike out this option.

Financial aid:

  • The financial aid provided in both universities is limited as it depends on fundings and financial constraints.
  • It is suggested to not rely on it much as it would not be sufficient.

Krea University is undoubtedly a rising to the top university and would be filled with challenges if you opt for it. For now, Ashoka University seems to suit better for any student.

  • Near to Fergusson hills which provides a scenic beauty to the already beautiful campus.
  • Fergusson College has been an epitome for rich heritage, culture of excellence.
  • It has great buildings such as the main building N.M Wadia Amphitheater and also the Bai Jerbai Wadia Library

Which is the best, SJBIT, Global Academy of Technology, or JSSATE?

KA
Kirti Atreyi Posted On : December 10th, 2020
Studied Information Science and Engineering at SJB Institute of Technology (2021)

JSSATE should be most preferred among SJBIT and Global academy of technology not only because of the beautiful campus infrastructure but also better teaching facilities, academics excellence, better campus placement & reasonable fee structure (depending on admission category you choose to get admission).

JSSATE has no dress code, unlike SJBIT. Various scholarships & relaxation can be availed for fee concession.

The table below shows the placement statistics of JSSATE:

Year

Number of companies

Total number of offers

2016-17

84

393

2017-18

87

259

2018-19

92

405

JSSATE also provides little relaxation in-class attendance and strictness unlike the rest of the two. Global Academy of technology and SJBIT can burn your pockets if you belong to a middle-class family. So, if you're a self-motivated person and looking for little enjoyment in your graduation then definitely go for JSSATE.

The next best option is SJBIT of having a comparatively better ranking and feasible transportation to reach a college campus. It offers better placement and the facility is also good.

Lastly, it depends on you how you take maximum benefit out of your surroundings. Your success will depend on your hard work, time management, and the opportunities you grabbed.

BBA from all of these institutes, Nirma University, Symbiosis, and NMIMS is good. It now depends on whether you are willing to go for an MBA immediately after your graduation or not.

If you want to do an MBA and not want to get into giving entrances again, then go for Nirma, it is a decent pick. If you feel you can study in the 2nd and 3rd year of your graduation for MBA entrance exams. Then go for BBA from NMIMS or Symbiosis.
