Studied at Amity University Kolkata (2019)

According to my friends studying at Global Academy of Technology Bangalore, the placements are quite nice. The packages offered to the students can depend on the company and the salary depends a lot on the performance of the students.

Median salary packages are in the range of INR 3–4 Lakhs per annum for all the branches. The salary package reports are not determined concerning the CSE or ISE branch, rather they are calculated according to the sector in which the candidate gets placed.

The table below shows the placement scenario of the institution for the session 2019-20:

Placement

Statistics

Highest Package

INR 12 Lakhs per annum

Lowest Package

INR 1.5 Lakhs per annum

Average Package

INR 3.5 Lakhs per annum

Major Recruiters

Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Byju’s

All these factors make the Global Academy of Technology great for higher education and for a professional environment for studies. The institution is located in Bangalore which offers good exposure to the IT Sector for students. One of my friends who is a graduate of this college was recruited by Infosys as a system engineer in 2018.

Which is the best, SJBIT, Global Academy of Technology, or JSSATE?

KA
Kirti Atreyi Posted On : December 10th, 2020
Studied Information Science and Engineering at SJB Institute of Technology (2021)

JSSATE should be most preferred among SJBIT and Global academy of technology not only because of the beautiful campus infrastructure but also better teaching facilities, academics excellence, better campus placement & reasonable fee structure (depending on admission category you choose to get admission).

JSSATE has no dress code, unlike SJBIT. Various scholarships & relaxation can be availed for fee concession.

The table below shows the placement statistics of JSSATE:

Year

Number of companies

Total number of offers

2016-17

84

393

2017-18

87

259

2018-19

92

405

JSSATE also provides little relaxation in-class attendance and strictness unlike the rest of the two. Global Academy of technology and SJBIT can burn your pockets if you belong to a middle-class family. So, if you're a self-motivated person and looking for little enjoyment in your graduation then definitely go for JSSATE.

The next best option is SJBIT of having a comparatively better ranking and feasible transportation to reach a college campus. It offers better placement and the facility is also good.

Lastly, it depends on you how you take maximum benefit out of your surroundings. Your success will depend on your hard work, time management, and the opportunities you grabbed.

Who is your favorite faculty member at the Global Academy of Technology?

AP
Ashutosh Patel Posted On : May 10th, 2021
Studied ECE at Global Academy of Technology

There are several notable faculty members at the Global Academy of Technology. I have a few friends at the institute and here are some of their favorite faculties.

  • Most students in the Electrical and Electronics department, like both Mrs. Suma Rao (from the Power Electronics branch) and Mr. BGR (from the Field Theory branch).
  • According to my friends, they make quite a great teaching experience for students. Mrs. Suma’s technical knowledge is great. She makes every lesson interactive for students to have a clearer view of the subject itself with vivid real-time examples.
  • Mr. BGR is also known to combine his expertise with his professional and fun-loving attitude.
  • Some of my friends are also very fond of Mrs.Zeba, senior professor of the math department. The reasons are many.

There are many other popular faculties on campus and every student has their personal favorite.

Can someone from an average engineering college do MS in America? Does your engineering college have to be well known? What about the Global Academy of Technology in Bangalore?

SR
Singhdha Roy Posted On : January 20th, 2021
BE from IIIT Bhubaneswar (2019)

Yes, someone from an average engineering college can do MS in America. To be clear, the name of the engineering college doesn’t play a role in the admission to colleges in America for MS.

One of my friends is an alumnus of the Global Academy of Technology. She is preparing to join the University of South Florida. Some of the factors which are crucial according to her experience are as follows.

Recruiters and interviewers from colleges in America generally look into the profile of the candidate for selection. The points listed below states the criteria that increase the chance of a student getting an MS seat in America.

  • The academic history, CGPA scores, etc. are taken into consideration for the selection. Though it is seen that students having low CGPAs get admission into good universities in the US, but they generally have other achievements such as projects, research papers, internships, etc.
  • The GRE, IELTS/TOEFL score plays an important role in the selection. An average score in GRE is enough to get a good college in the US if the candidate is having a good profile and experience in projects and internships.
  • Mini-projects, self-made projects are essential for the CV, even if they are non-academic.
  • Good internships from reputed organizations have a great impact on the interviewer. He/she may not know the name of the college, but knowing the organization the candidate has worked on is a good aspect.
  • Publishing research papers in international journals gives a great advantage. Generally, foreign institutes that are research-oriented gives preference to students having their own papers published.
  • The Statement of Purpose plays an important role in admission. Having a letter of recommendation from someone has a great impact.
  • Having relevant skills that are preferred in admission, from the curriculum of online courses helps in the interview process.

So, thorough research should be done by the candidate about the universities he/she wants admission in the US, and have the appropriate profile for the same.

What do you think of the Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru?

SM
Sourabh Mishra Posted On : January 20th, 2021
Studied at the Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore

The Global Academy of technology offers good facilities, some brilliant professors, and a decent overall curriculum.

The table below gives a brief overview of the institute:

Total Fees (B.Tech)

2.35 Lakhs

Admission through

COMEDK UGET, KCET

Median Salary offered

3.25 Lakhs

Key highlights:

  • Some professors of the Global Academy of Technology are very supportive. They help in project related queries and motivate students in career-related development.
  • There had been some problems in the management some years back, which led to the resignation of the Principal, HOD, and a few professors. A lot of people have complaints about AFAIK trustees as they didn’t promote student welfare as they should have been.
  • There are good quality labs, with all necessary equipment present in the Global Academy of Technology. Facilities in technology are provided by the college as expected.

Overall, the Global Academy of Technology is a decent institute for engineering studies, though not as good as IITs, but with good facilities and faculty. Most of the time, you need to learn things on your own and work hard to make a decent career. The course fee at the institute is also quite steep.
