Which is better for CSE, IIT Gandhinagar or IIT Ropar?
When it comes to IITs it’s not really easy to compare them especially when these both are of the same generation.
However, if you still need to compare it is important for you to understand that an undergraduate degree is more of an exploration to discover your passion and interest. This hypothesis has been vetted by a large number of IIT graduates, IIM graduates, and many professors and IIT alums.

IGNOU is a central top-rated university in distance mode. It’s the best option for the ones who are willing to get a degree without actually attending regular classes. The degree, diploma, and certificates of IGNOU are recognised by AICTE, UGC and DEC approved. It has the same value as Delhi University.
MA degree from IGNOU will open opportunities for you in the field of teaching. Also if you are preparing for civil services, you can opt for the same subject for mains.
How difficult is it to get into Sharda University through the SUAT (B.Tech)?
To get admission to Sharda University, students have to pass the entrance exam known as SUAT, which is conducted by the university.
The entrance exam, SUAT, is not an easy exam but it is not that tough like an IAS exam or JEE mains either. If you take my opinion then opting for IIT Gandhinagar for CSE is a better choice than going for ECE at IIT Guwahati. I am a student of IIT Gandhinagar and I can say that the CSE department is one of the best departments in terms of curriculums and placements.
- IIT Gandhinagar offers 4 years full-time BTech program for CSE.
- The average course fee for the first year is around INR 2.29 Lakhs.
- IIT Gandhinagar holds a ranking of 18th position out of 200 colleges in the NIRF ranking.
- The placement scenario for the department is good with 94.44% of students being placed in 2023
- The median package is INR 25.06 LPA and the average package is INR 29.29 LPA.
What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at NIT Patna?
Here are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at NIT Patna
- Enjoy your college life to the fullest because these are the best years of your life. However, don’t compromise on your studies in the process.
- Don’t come with the mindset of Biharis being dangerous or unsafe in any way. In fact, you will feel even safer than in Delhi here.
- Maintain good relationships with your seniors and alumni. The alumni network here is elaborate with some of them being in big firms like IOCL, NTPC, BPCL, BARC, ONGC, Adani, L&T, Reliance, TATA, Google, Adobe, Amazon, Snapdeal, Armed forces, IIMs, etc Maintain a CGPA more than 8 to avail the best placements
- Either join the Student Activities Center ( SAC) or join NCC, if you want to join the armed forces in the future.
- Involve yourself in sports as NIT Patna has excellent sports facilities.
- If you have enough time on your hands, then prepare for competitive exams like GATE, CAT, UPSC, etc.
- Don’t get exploited by some faculty who will use your skills in their own projects
- Don’t park your bike if you are in a hostel.
- The last entry time for hostels is 10 pm so make sure to arrive before the deadline.
- Join Sankalp, wherein you get to teach slum kids. This will add value to your resume and also give you a kind of self-satisfaction.

NIT Hamirpur is one of the premier engineering colleges offering UG and PG courses in various specializations. It offers B.Arch and M.Arch programs that are among the best in the country.
Pros :
- The academic environment is one of the best in the country.
- You get the tag of NIT which opens multiple doors of opportunity for you.
- Most faculty members are Ph.D. holders from renowned institutes like IITs.
- NIT Hamirpur has a very serene and breathtaking campus with many tourist areas nearby.
- There are opportunities for both on and off campus
- The food served in the mess and hostel facilities are amazing.
Cons:
- You won't be able to experience the dynamic city life of a metro city here.
- There are no outlets of KFC or Pizza Hut
- There are serious connectivity issues here.
In my opinion, NIT Hamirpur is the perfect place to pursue Architecture given the fact that it's a 5-year rigorous bachelor course that requires a peaceful academic environment. The serene and picturesque ambiance of NIT Hamirpur serves this purpose best!
How is MA in political science through IGNOU?
IGNOU is a central university making it one of the best universities that offer distance education. The study materials are excellent and are written by top-notch professors from various universities. They are written and proofread by professors from renowned universities like JNU and IITs.
Before this, they used to provide books by well-known authors. But when the syllabus was revamped they started printing the study material written by very experienced professors from well-known universities. People prefer these study materials for other competitive exams also.
If you cannot go for a regular program, an MA in political science through IGNOU is the best option.
Which should I prefer, IIT Kharagpur computer or IIT Delhi electrical?
Both IIT Kharagpur CSE and IIT Delhi Electrical Engineering courses are well recognized in India.

The highest package offered is around INR 2 CPA , and the average package offered to the students is around INR 26 LPA to INR 28 LPA.
