Prof. Kailash Bagzai has been working as the Academic Director of Radiant Institute of Management and Science, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Before joining Radiant Institute, he has worked as Director and as an Admin in reputed colleges including Imperial College of Profession, Indore Management Institute and Central College Indore. In addition to this, he is also a Professional Career Counselor & Teacher and has conducted numerous seminars on Career Counseling and corporate sessions on Team Building.

What keeps you connected with the Education Sector and how has your experience been so far with the institute?

"My passion to improve loopholes of present education system have kept me associated"

I have been a keen observer of education and have identified the core areas where the education sector needs improvement. And I have continuously put my best efforts in those areas to fill the gap and provide the finest quality education to students to transform them into future leaders and entrepreneurs and help them create a good life for themselves. I am delighted to work with this many renowned institutes and feel proud to be director of one of the best institutes, the Radiant Institute of Management and Science.

Being the Director of RIMS, what is your philosophy of leadership?

"Clear communication and collaboration is very important to lead a team"

I use both modern as well as conventional ways to deal and lead people having different mindset, skills and experience. And I believe that experience is the best teacher, and I get to learn something new everyday while interacting with my faculty members, students and industry people. 

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your institute?

"We keep updating our teaching methodologies and rest is assured by students results"

We deliver our students the best possible teaching pedagogy to help them learn subject concepts by using different techniques such as case studies and research based assignments. In our MBA program, we have “A3 P2 O1 '' method which means 3 days of Academics, 2 days of practical oriented studies and one day for research. This way of formulating strategy helps students in achieving true excellence.

In your experience, what benefits can students gain from studying here in your college?

"They will get best national and international industrial exposure and experiences here"

Our institute organizes foreign educational tours for students and also takes them for international seminars and we are the only institute in Central India who do so. We recently did an educational tour of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. In addition to this, events like industrial visits, seminars and other co-curricular activities are regularly conducted in college to help and assist students develop their overall personality. 

How does the curriculum of RIMS ensure the best practices of industry?

"It includes certification courses on latest technologies such as AI, Six Sigma and Digital Marketing"

Our curriculum is a perfect amalgamation of latest certification courses including Artificial intelligence, Six Sigma, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Customer Relationship Management, SAP and ERP etc. and a major benefit of these programs is that they give industry-oriented skills to students. 

How is RIMS more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

"We promote the culture of equality in our college and welcome students from all over country"

We have students from different demographics, states as well as cities. And we welcome every single student with whole heart and any kind of discrimination or inequality is strictly prohibited in our college campus. What are your roles and responsibilities for the University and students?

"I am accountable for the overall monitoring and supervision of college activities and for guiding students"

Firstly I am responsible for completing the university syllabus. Next I need to guide and supervise activities happening in college along with giving my support for conducting seminars, internships, placement training and recruitment drives. Apart from this, I am accountable for developing, managing and implementing various resources including faculties and staff members in order to help them excel.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

"To make students industry ready by inculcating right skills and knowledge"

I strongly believe that we should work towards enhancing the knowledge of students through more practical exposure. Because only practical knowledge and experience would help them to get a good job in the corporate world. And hence we are planning to introduce the latest training programs and internships as per industry standards and requirements.

Our RIMS is the only institute in Central India which provides international courses such as MBA Duke Program, BBA International Leadership Program and B. Com Foreign Plus Program along with foreign language courses. We also offer many value based certification courses in the discipline of Artificial Intelligence.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general?

"Inculcating professional courses in curriculum is definitely a tough task"

Developing a curriculum which includes vocational studies is the biggest challenge I believe today's higher education system is facing. Because students today want a curriculum which includes vocational courses so that they can develop themselves in an overall manner and can get a good job or do their own business. 

Any suggestions which you would like to give to the current youth and aspiring students?

"Believe in yourself and be honest with everyone"

I would like to suggest to my students and youths to develop good communication skills. Also have faith in yourself and always be real no matter how hard the situation is.
