The institute offers a Dual degree wherein they can do graduation along with Vocational degree in a course offered by Rajasthan Skill Development University.

How much importance is given to practical learning along with theoretical knowledge?

The state of art laboratories has adequate space for students working and provides them with creative learning opportunities. Separate dedicated labs for undergraduate and postgraduate students, to have hands-on experience of practical skills. Have adequate space for students working and provide them with creative learning opportunities. It is backed up with specialized laboratories to conduct advanced practical and research work based on various domains of Botany as Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Taxonomy, etc. Well-equipped laboratories, to provide them with practical exposure the indispensable practical knowledge along with the sound theoretical background. 

What are some of the challenges that you faced working in the field of Botanical science?

The Department of Botany fosters undergraduate and postgraduate students and focuses on the holistic development of them to make them responsible. We ensure to carry out the same with personal discipline, and furnish them with high academic & research abilities to make them professionally fit. What do you think are your roles and responsibilities towards the institute and students?

“Regularity and punctuality of classes is our key feature”

The department has smart classrooms for regular classes and interaction with eminent professors and scientists in the domain. The department is updated with excellent facilities for teaching and research. They are skilled, sincere, and hardworking with the diversity of specialization and enforce continuous efforts for education, giving life-related examples: Well-disciplined and co-ordinated curriculum throughout the session. One to one interaction between student-teachers with full zeal to satisfy them is the essential feature of the department. We are backed up with well-prepared theory as well as practical classes, to cater all the students in the individual capacity of learning through hands-on execution of all the practical exercises. We have structured SOP for classes and laboratories with skilled human resources expertise in respective domains.

Tell us about your best experiences in the field of education?

“It is essential to provide students with recreational activities”

Unveiling the core of nature, essentially required tours, excursion, expedition, and industrial exposure. It is very well learned by students, where the young minds go out of the college building to explore the unexplored side of nature. During such activities, filled with science, learning, fun, and recreation, students enjoy every bit of excursion in their annual module of the tour. The entire team of the Botany Department with students, teachers, and staff visited several places as Bhangarh, Lapodia, National Research Centre on Seed Spices (TABIJI), Rapeseed - Mustard Research Institute(ICAR), Mansagar Lake, Nahargarh Biological Park. They watch science and nature closely and understand things working at its best in industry and research. They often do onsite sample collection and enrich the departmental reservoir and herbarium. Great learning with discipline and fun to rejuvenate. Working well with a fresh mind to learn and live better with the science of plants.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your Institute?

“Exposure towards professional platform helps students to learn and understand better”

For the all-round development of the students, apart from theory and practice, we provide them with the exposure to the professional platform through routine conduction of expert lectures and workshops from Emeritus Professors and people from Industry. It gives an interacting platform to have one to one discussions. National and International level of events and activities are organized during the session.

What suggestions do you have for the youth and aspiring students ?

“Our curriculum is curated to meet the current industrial demands”

It is a multidisciplinary course, and the curriculum has been developed to meet the growing demand for trained workforce in life sciences. The student’s alumni were well placed in different government sectors and private jobs across the country. All the discipline and code of conduct is well driven under the able guidance of the Management.
