Dr. D Santhanakrishnan is an IEDC Coordinator and Head of B. Com Corporate Secretaryship Department at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science. He has worked as an Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator for PG International Business. His research areas are Management of International Business, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Development. He has co-authored several books and publications in international journals. His awards for Innovation Ambassador, Best Faculty Award and Master Trainer for Entrepreneurship Privilege by NEN are notable one.

What is your leadership philosophy?

A path to success becomes clear by understanding the duties of each individual in a team. Leader gives specific tasks for members to boost the work. My philosophy of leadership is to nurture future leaders and increase team productivity on campus. A proper guidance for students provided on campus. We work with integrity, honesty and decisiveness. 

How does your college welcome students of different economic backgrounds?

“Provide comfortable environment for students and organize welcome meet/ cultural activities in campus”

We promote cultural activities on campus and various teaching styles for students. Most faculties organize welcome meets for students to be comfortable in the environment. A student specific career plan develops from the campus.

We decide to implement the latest trends of technology in the curriculum. Our focus is on academic programs, skillsets of teachers and students on campus. The challenges are overcome by us with correct planning.

One of the places in which students and teachers grow together is the classroom. The influential figures in campus are faculties and they improve the learning environment. A healthy relationship forms on campus through the idea-sharing and relationship-building in classrooms.

One of the top priorities is to become a top college in TamilNadu in academic activities. Another one is to be a top placement campus for students and it leads us to take a position in the corporate world. We give more focus on social responsibilities that boost country development.
