About SRIT

Established in the year 2002, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT) is located in Pachapalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The institute offers six undergraduate programs and five postgraduate programs in the Engineering and Technology domain which includes the MBA.

The institute has provisioned its students with numerous facilities. Some of them are listed as follows:

Infrastructure: The institute is located on the outskirts of the city and as a result, it is surrounded by green hills which make the institute very calm and beautiful.
Classrooms: For increasing opportunities for teaching and learning by utilizing integrated learning technology, all classrooms are smart classrooms at the institute.
Library: There is a library that has been provisioned for the students and is located in the main block of the college.
Laboratories: The Aakash project which was funded by the MHRD under NMEICT was handled by SRIT, which is the R&D partner of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. SRIT has also agreed on setting up a research lab known as e-Yantra Lab and Embedded System Lab also in association with IIT Bombay.
Sports: The college provides outdoor games as well as indoor games facilities. The institute has also planned a playground for the same.
Hostel: The institute also provides the students with separate hostels for girls and boys within the campus. All the food inside the hostel is prepared nicely and served hygienically. The hostel is also equipped with a Wi-Fi facility, indoor games, gym, and so on.
Transport: For the purpose of conveyance, the institute has installed 12 buses for traveling to the outskirts of the city and even the town Perur.

Ans. Highly qualified faculty supervises the Placement Cell so the opportunities provided by the institute are endless. This enables the students to gain experience and also helps them complete more projects with a handsome stipend.

Ans. The students are provided with opportunities for scholarships from time to time but they are merit-based. The scholarships as prescribed by the government, however, stay in place.

Ques. How is the course curriculum at the institute?

Ans. The course curriculum at the institute does not just promote academic development and excellence. It also enables the students to apply the knowledge gained in the classrooms into their day to day lives in turn, using that knowledge practically. The students are also allowed to select their elective subjects.

Ans. The alumni association is quite good, The alumni students are invited to the institute to provide the current students with information about their experiences and placements so the students can have a better idea of how everything is worked.

No entrance exam is needed. But marks in your board exams are enough. I scored 88% in my board exams. I got a seat through counselling under OBC reservation and I am the first graduate in my family. The application form fee will be around 500 rupees. If your cutoff should be somewhere between 180 to 190. If not you can get a seat in the management quota. And it is very expensive.
