New Delhi: The officials of Bharathiar University are inviting the candidates to fill the admission form. Those students who want to get admission in UG and PG courses must fill the Bharathiar University application form before the last date through the official portal, b-u.ac.in/.

Bharathiar University offers various UG and PG courses over 13 streams such as Animation, Accounting & Commerce, Engineering, etc. 

The university offers admission to UG courses on the basis of marks scored in 10+2 examinations in a related field. Candidates who desire PG admissions will need to have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be deemed eligible for admission to most of the UG and PG courses offered by Bharathiar university:

For Undergraduate Courses:

• For undergraduate courses, candidates must have completed 10+2 level from a recognized board with Science stream being required for pure science subjects. 
• Alternatively, a candidate having a polytechnic degree awarded by the State Board of Technical Education under the Government of Tamil Nadu will also be eligible.

For Postgraduate Courses:

• Candidates should hold a bachelor’ degree in a related field with a minimum 55% aggregate in marks from any recognized university in the country.
• A relaxation may be given to the reserved category students as per the regulations of the Government.
• To get admission in M.Ed.courses, a B.Ed. degree is preferable, though BA with education related fields may be accepted.
• In the case of Biochemistry, a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is required at the undergraduate level to apply.
• For M.Sc. courses, Science stream with related subjects must have been a part of the curriculum at the undergraduate level.
• For courses in the field of Economics or Econometrics, a valid score in Economics, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics, Business Economics, Commerce subjects are accepted. 

Bharathiar University UG and PG Admission 2023: Selection Criteria 

The admission in Bharathiar University will be done directly on the basis of Bharathiar University entrance examination.

• Selection to the PG level courses is based either on qualifying marks (direct admission) or on the basis of performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.
• TANCET scores are considered for MBA courses and admissions will be made through centralized counseling conducted by the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
• Admissions to MCA courses including 17 other courses like M.Sc, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, MA in English Literature, etc are based on marks scored in CET exam. 
• Admission to M.Sc in Medical Biotechnology program for DBT Sponsored candidates is based on marks scored in GAT-B entrance exam.

Follow the steps listed below to fill the online and offline application form:

Offline Process

Step 1: Get the application form for registration from the admission office.

Step 2: Pay INR 400/- & INR 200/- by drawing a DD of any Nationalised Bank. Pay only in favor of the Register, Bharathiar University.

Step 3: Applicants can send a self-addressed envelope (28×13 cm) along with the application form, and attach an INR 60/- stamp to it.

Online Process Bharathiar University Admission

Step 1: Visit the official website of Bharathiar University.

Step 2: Get the application form visible on the home screen.

Step 3: Fill up all the required details in the application form carefully.

Step 4: Attach scanned photos, signature and other documents.

Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button and make sure the application is submitted.

Step 6: Get a DD of INR 200/- as the application fee.
