Being the Head of MBA at SNJB, what is your philosophy of leadership?

“My leadership style is collaborative yet it’s transformational”

Leadership for me is about taking responsibility for meeting the goals of the institute and inspiring the team to take up their responsibility. I always assume that all my team members are mature enough to handle their tasks. I take responsibility for any failures and make it a point to give credit to individual members when it is a success. Every team I worked with feels that I am the most accessible, unbiased, and transparent leader they have met.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“Provide excellent leadership and support to students, Faculties & colleagues”

My prime role as a Head of the MBA Department is to provide strong academic leadership. I am required to lead, manage, and develop the department to ensure that it achieves the highest possible standards of academic excellence in all its activities.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

Developing more innovative teaching methods & pedagogies”

  • Academic association with renowned foreign universities & management institutions.
  • Increase industry association for research projects & consultancy.
  • Exposing students to Indian as well as global management trends.

“Value-based education and excellent environment for the overall development of students”

What are some of the biggest challenges you see, both for higher education in general and SNJB, MBA specifically?

“Creating jobs in the Manufacturing sector is a challenge for the modern era”

Some of the biggest challenges I see for higher education are

  • We are obsessed with the servicing industry. We all want to get selected in campus selection so we love jobs in the service sector only. However, higher education does not solve the problem when it comes to creating jobs in the manufacturing sector. That is a big problem.
  • The younger generation is not interested in serving their country and they are more interested in just taking up a job and a hefty pay package.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Opening new horizons in your career is possible with an MBA degree”

To pursue an MBA degree has become a key choice not only for all aspiring managers but also for businessmen & professionals too. I would recommend the current youth & aspiring students to grab this degree because :

  • An MBA degree offers many professional, as well as personal benefits.
  • Whether you work in technology, finance, management, marketing, or manufacturing, an MBA degree will open up opportunities for greater responsibility, career advancement, and increased financial rewards.
