Holding a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy from IIT Roorkee, he is a profound educationist, leader and research analyst. With a rich experience in teaching and academic administration, Mr Harmeet Pawar has successfully authored three research papers.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Serving society and strengthening morals of students”

The primary factor behind my association with the education sector is that it is the best way to serve the society by providing knowledge to its people and thus, contributing towards upliftment of the individual as well as the nation as a whole. Also, I found deep satisfaction in inculcating moral and ethical values into future generation along with the technical competence that makes them responsible and valuable citizens of country. 

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Value giving and responsive kind of leadership”

Leadership is a role where the team leader has to give value to the suggestions provided by each and every member for completion of a shared mission. Teammates should feel appreciated in the group. Constant motivation and initiatives are required from the leader side, giving time-to-time directions and confidence to the team.

How does the curriculum at your college ensure the best practice of industry?

“Incorporating best practices and curriculum structure”

Being the autonomous institute, curriculum is revised as per the requirements of industry from time-to-time in discussion with members of Board of Study (BOS) and Board of Governors (BOG) including eminent and expert personalities from highly reputed technical institutes of the country. Moreover, through collaborations with industries, students get a chance to get a hands-on experience through trainings and dissertation work at industry location itself. We offer a systematic and flexible approach so that our students get full exposure of industry environment and practical knowledge.

What do you think should be the College's top priority over the next 10 years?

Our vision over next 10 years is to produce technically competent and socially responsible engineers who can provide cost-effective solutions to the various problems faced by society, thus proving as an asset to the country. We aspire to equip the students with industry ready skills so as to strengthen the students’ capabilities and creativity to resolve real-life issues. Our goal must be to serve the younger generation by giving positive suggestions, strategic planning and concrete framework. 

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

Apart from learning technical concepts and developing zeal to get involved in lifelong learning, I want to incorporate inbound students with cultural, moral and ethical values as well. Moreover, I take responsibility that students should feel highly motivated to pursue their research and timely guidance from supervisors. My role is to deliver the best information to the students and motivate them for carrying out the original research which is beneficial to the society as well.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students?

“Self exploration and self-less services”

Students should explore their innate capabilities and uncover their hidden talent to serve the society in the best possible way. They should emphasize on getting the best through their studies so that they can apply their knowledge in solving real-time problems and thus, become distinguishable. Learn to grow and provide service to others; dissipate the message of true humanity.
